Surprised with punched green without warning
We booked the hot deal and nothing on the booking page showing punched green. Very disappointed with the lack of notification of this important course condition in Golfnow booking.
Punched greens
I actually love this course. But to not tell people the greens are punched and to charge full price is a little ridiculous. Recommend playing but maybe call the course to check conditions.
Strawberry Farms is Perfection
Strawberry Farms is a golfer's dream! Challenging course with beautiful views and landscape. Strawberry Farms has a great restaurant with views of the driving range and canyon. The patio outside dining is fabulous.
Not sure why this course normally has such expensive tee times?
We had a nice round. We were paired with another couple. We never had to wait (Tuesday at 3pm tee time). The 3-some behind us was typically on our tails pretty quickly, even though we weren't incredibly slow.
The back nine is much more challenging than the front. It is picturesque back there-----I caught myself wishing that I was walking the trails and hiking instead.....there is amazing wildlife/birds throughout the entire back side. Along with a beautiful water feature near the end.
Never had a cart girl. Starter was friendly enough. There wasn't good signage, no ball washers, and it was difficult to know where to bring our cart afterwards.....it's a large parking lot, hard to find your car if you're not familiar, so it would be nice if carts were allowed in the lot. I understand the safety concern, but it's a bit far to lug your clubs afterwards.
We had a special rate of $52. I can't imagine having to pay much more than that for this course. Maybe if it previously had pristine fairways, etc....but obviously COVID and the drought have taken it's toll. The fairways are OK.... the roughs are rather ragged and weedy. But at least you don't lose your ball often if you miss the fairway into the rough.
Sunny day
Enjoyed playing here. Only con was pace of play. Didn’t get to finish 18 ( darkness) bc of two players ahead being extremely slow… no Marshall to keep them moving
Nice course with fantastic surroundings
Nice course, lots of parallel fairways, grabbed the 2:00pm tee time and finished 18 with little light around 6:10. Would recommend.
Perfection!
Strawberry Farms Golf Course ⛳️ Is a beautiful and challenging course with a terrific landscape. The food in their clubhouse is excellent.
Pace of Play
I like the course, but pace of play was slow. Golfers that are new or just take their time over every ball on every hole should play Muni courses, or don't spend 10 minutes looking for your ball, and then realize you parked your cart 30 yards away. If you are a new or slow player, drop a ball and speed play and drop your ball next to the longest drive. Also, no Marshall out there to speed up play.
