A nice track
Glades course will make you use all of your clubs depending on how the wind blows. I have played here a few times and find it a fun challenge. Greens are in pretty decent shape, as the tee boxes and fairways. This no par three "executive " course, just a little knock off from the Champs course across the street. I play this course to try and be more creative with my irons, and have fun.
Okay
For what you pay it’s okay. There are some fairways that get muddy when it rains heavy. Other than that it’s good enough to work on your game.
Always a Great Time
The Glades Course at Colony West is a hidden gem. The perfect course for a recreational golfer to get in a a quick fun 18 holes. The layout isn’t very challenging: If I recall, only hitting over water on 4 or 5 holes, and the rest of the course is pretty wide open. The course is lined with several residences and on some holes you might get lucky and meet a pleasant homeowner, others not so much. (Grumpy old man loves right of the fairway on hole #2). Course conditions are average at best but you can tell they are working on fixing some tee boxes and greens. For $15-$30 a round, you can not go wrong here. The View (bar/restaurant) is lovely. Great food, staff and drinks. Always a nice vibe. Been playing here for a long time and will likely continue to do so.
Great courses great staff. Just wish the got rid of pre-paid option.
Great course and great staff, I just wish they got rid of the pre-paid option which is only way to to book. It makes it hard to split payments and getting refund is annoying if there is bad wheaten other golfers cancel etc.
This course was very good
The course was fine however trying to determine distance from tee box was a guessing game the board and the pegs were totally different. Some first cuts were much longer than others as was the greens
Great course with the Hot Deal
The course is fun and great to work on the short game. Greens are a little beat up but manageable. Will probably pay a little more and just stick with the Champs course
Great course
Great value for the money! All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The groundkeepers were hard at work grooming to keep the course good with the extreme heat. The pro shop attendant( sorry, I can’t remember her name)and Patrick the starter were so nice and very helpful, getting our bags from the car and making sure we had all the information we needed.
The restaurant was excellent, it was quite busy while we were there but CJ and Geo were friendly and efficient. We had our drinks and food in no time, delivered with a smile. Again good value for the money.
We will let our friends know and will definitely be back!
Tamarac Glades
I am a novice at this game. However, this particular one is a great place for learning how to play. No sand traps, and a few challenging holes, but overall a good course for beginners, and when finished you can go to the clubhouse and enjoy a cold beer with a great meal. If you are looking for another course that could be more challenging right next to the Glades is the Champions golf course, one next to each other, very convenient.
The course in good shape some greens need a little more attention (crab grass an weeds)
