Scenic Hills Country Club
About
Unlike many other courses in the state, Scenic Hills Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills. In addition to the dramatic elevation changes throughout the course, the holes are sharply framed by towering pines that line the fairways. The holes play to generous putting surfaces that provide a variety of hole placements, but its best to play to the middle of the greens since there are strategically placed bunkers guarding all of the greens. Water hazards also come into play on six holes, but they require only minimal forced carries. Scenic Hills C.C. opens with what is arguably its most challenging holes. The par-4 hole plays downhill to a green that is not only protected on both the left and right with bunkers, but there is also a steep-faced bunker that is not visible from the fairway.

Bad shape
Extremely disappointed. Greens are about gone on several holes. Fairways seem like pasture land. T box’s are in poor condition. On a positive note the staff was great. I won’t go back until I hear they have fixed these issues.
Friendly staff, very poor tee boxes, greens not great
All staff I ran across were very nice. Pace of play was slowish on Sunday morning. Tee boxes were absolutely atrocious. Greens weren’t great but not terrible either. Rolled pretty slow
Do not play here.
This is the first time I’ve ever been inspired to write a review after playing a round of golf. I arrived to a cramped and parking lot. The driving range has room for maybe 10 people and standing on the mats you are almost in the street or can reach out and touch a car trying to squeeze through this parking lot. There is not much room at all out there. I go to check in at the clubhouse. Girl behind the counter was very rude, made it seem like I might have done something wrong or been in the wrong place when I simply wanted to check in for my tee time that I was over 45 minutes early for. Later on the cart girl turned out to also be rude as she did not drive by and ask if we wanted anything. She parked next to a tee box right in the way of us driving up to it and played on her phone, never looked up or spoke to us much less asked if we wanted anything. Now the course itself was also terrible. Bumpy or broken up can’t even describe the cart path. It was like someone had dropped bombs on the course. Craters of dirt all over the course including right in the middle of greens. I’m sure it’s a coincidence the only 3 somewhat decent looking greens are the 2 seen from the clubhouse restaurant and 1 you can see from the road as you drive by. This course has made it on a short list of courses I’ve told myself I will absolutely never play at again.
Roughs
The roughs had not been maintained properly and were very difficult for a matures. The sand traps were all a mess. I like the lay out, but these issues make the course undesirable.
Good course
Loved the club house. The course was fun and had a lot of challenging dog legs.
No water
It was hot as blazes. I’m 79. Cart path only due to rain. OK no problem. NO WATER AND NO CART SERVICE. There were some water stations but no cups. That is dangerous. Very easy to have heat stroke.
Good Value
Was able to play Scenic Hills and felt like it was a great value.
Course is pretty darn good, with the exception of bunkers.
Disappointing
Disappointing. Booked a tee time on GolfNow and when we arrived to play, we learned that the back nine was closed because they had just punched the greens. The front nine had also been punched and the greens were full of sand. Since the back nine was closed, we had to play the front nine twice. I completely understand that the course needs to be punched, however I would have liked to have been notified before booking, as We were from out of town and we’re looking to play a nice course.
