Great course. Arrive early, they're efficient.
I loved the course. Played as a single. Get there early, they have a pit crew loading carts and getting you off on time. There is a ton of great nature and wildlife which they blended nicely into the course. The foursome ahead and let me play through into a foursomes of ladies which never looked back and took forever to line up. They wouldn't let me play through, apparently they are regulars who live there. The kitchen mixed my order but gave it to me 60% off. The second 9 I hooked up with an awesome older couple from Texas that made it so much fun. Great course, look for weekday discounts.

Solid course all Around
I'm giving this an excellent rating because I truly loved the course. The only thing I can say about it that I didn't enjoy was the fact that the greens were surprisingly slow and were a bit furry here and there. Otherwise, this is one of the best courses I've played in the area. Will absolutely be returning

Beautiful Course & Great Layout
The Thistle Cameron/Stewart courses were beautiful, had a great yet challenging layout, and pace of play was smooth (12-14 minute holes). Definitely will be back and highly recommend playing!

Great Course!
Absolutely beautiful course! The staff was very friendly, though they didn't secure one of our bags to the cart and it fell off on the second hole... The clubhouse had a great bar and menu, and the prize were very good. I would highly recommend this course to anyone,

One of the best MB courses, must play
This is a must play course. It was my second time playing and I have now played all 27 holes. The course was in great shape, greens were a little slow but rolled very smooth, fairways were perfect, bunkers were perfect, and the rough was well maintained and fair. The facilities are top notch and the staff are great! Pace of play was very good, finishing our round in 4 hours with a crowded course. Will definitely come back.

Wet course provided plenty challenge
My round was played in the afternoon after several days of heavy rainfall. The course played wet, with little roll and cart-path only. Despite the wet conditions, the course was green and the greens putted well. The fairways are wide and somewhat forgiving. Most holes did not have forced carries to the greens. I will want to return to play Thistle with firmer ground conditions.

Average at Best
When visiting Sunset Beach, we always find time to play golf 3 to 5 times. The Thistle has always been on our list of places to play. I'm not sure why as it is always crowded, no matter how early you are for your tee time, it seems like everybody's in a hurry. We were going to opt out this year but the most recent reviews or all pretty good. Great conditions, Great greens, Great pace of play, etc. As far as we are concerned, the three aforementioned were average at best.

Great tract awesome experience

Nice Course, Bad bag staff
Course has nice layout but greens were sloooooow. Also, was held up by the bag staff for 20 minutes after my 4:30 tee time so they could pair my group with another. I didn’t mind at the time and was on track to shoot my best round ever (-4 with two holes remaining). Sun was still up and we were playing fast, 20 minutes tops to finish. The bag staff rudely came onto the course and forced our group into the club house, no questions asked. It would have been nice to at least have the ability to walk the rest, but that was apparently not an option. I can say because of this treatment I will never go back and recommend you support another of the areas fine courses instead of this one.
I concur with your review. This staff treats you like a herd of cows. The golf course gets too much play and is not as advertised. Too bad because the layout is a good one.
