Lakes at Walden Lake Golf & Country Club

Golf is best with friends and as usual, having friends playing along can overcome less than desireable fairway conditions. It's calm and challenging playing here but worth the money. Still better than many courses in the area.

Played it 2 years ago condition was very good. Did not play it last year and unless there are big changes will not play it again.

This used to be a beautiful golf course. Sadly; it is now in horrible shape and by all appearance; nobody cares. The T-Boxes were 100% sand while the sand traps were 100% grass. I was embarrassed to have brought friends with me to this course. A mistake I will not make again

Have not played this course. They had two courses but one was closed a number of years ago. Fairways probably have not had irrigation in a long time. Very little grass, mostly weeds. Greens on the front were in sad shape. Back 9 was much better. Overall I enjoyed the layout, but it really needs maintenance. Bunkers did not have any sand, just dirt and no rakes.
I did enjoy the layout. Just wish it was in better condition. Probably will not play here again unless conditions improve.

A good course layout winding through woods and wet areas. Smaller greens than the norm in this area. Good idea to play with someone familiar with the course as the doglegs and distances are not obvious by view only.

Course needs maintenance. Suggest you play lift and place as the grass is sparse in the fairways and rough. Bunkers need sand...hitting off dirt. Greens are rough fairly good speed.

We were so excited to get a round of golf for only $16. As it turned out this green fee was WAY over priced. Very disappointed. No grass on tee boxes, very bumpy greens, do rakes at bunkers so you can imagine what they looked like. Could not play #17 because they were watering the fairway at 11:00 on a Friday morning.

Excellent value for money . Course has apparently struggled with the weather and finances. Now seems course is in a turn a
Round mode .

Wouldn't recommend. Course has so much potential what a shame. Is anyone even mowing?

18 holes (Hills) has been closed. The lakes is ok but tees and fairways in poor shape. Greens are not bad. Played front nine only.

Front 9 is decent. Back 9 is in terrible shape. Fairways are weed infested. Greens are patchy. Used to be a good course but has gone downhill. I expected it to be in better shape this time of year. Especially considering they shut down the second 18 a few months ago

Great value, friendly service (Trevor) and quick care free round!! I always play this course when in town. The greens roll nice and are forgiving but the grounds overall are a little rough...but for the rate, you can't beat it!! Well worth it, thanks WLCC!!

Enjoyed the course. Not top tier but not bad for the money.

The course is fun and challenging without being long. Greens are in great condition and the course is not too busy. Great value for money.

When we got there they charged me again even though I showed them the conformation.. I had to call golf now to get them to call and get me a refund . We played 9 holes went to club house to have them credit my card and couldn't so it because the guy that charged me was playing golf or we would have left then.. There was more water and grass in the bunkers then sand the greens were more sand then grass the tee boxes were a mess. It was not a very pleasant experience. Will not play there again.

Pretty decent layout. Greens were brown. Help andoverall experience was fine. Seems to be just an older worn - out course. Would go again knowing the super - fast brown greens were fixed

This course has a nice layout but it seems as though they are letting it go.It used to be a well maintained course but not now the fairways tee stations and greens were all in poor condition.

The check in process was poor. Had to wait in line 15 min because people who had earlier tee times were allowed to get in front of us. they should have gotten there earlier so we get punished for getting there early. No starter , no ranger, no cart girl. People walking , skateboarding, rollerblading , bike riding on the course.... there even was a mother with her 3 year-old playing in a sand trap we had to ask them to get out so we could hit our shot to the green.

Played Tues and Wed. Play was a little slow on Tues due to course being busy but Wed was great. Fairways were average for this time of year but greens were above average. Beer was 3 bucks but no break on buying 12 or 24. Cost to play should be a little lower to be in line with other courses in the same condition. On line prices should be the rack rate. Overall enjoyable.

Our most recent golf outing was at Walden Lakes G&CC and it was grossly disappointing. There was a group of 8 (playing together) a couple of holes in front of us, which we caught up to, and a group of 5 behind us. When we called the "pro shop" (no one professional there) several times before reaching someone they said, "that group are members and play that way every week". When we returned to the club house, very frustrated, we were told by another member of staff, they have tried to stop this group but they will not stop. The must be kidding, to think their members are privileged to break rules. These specific members had their own carts and proceeded to drive over t-boxes and way to close to the greens. Come on! If this course doesn't want guest play, then just continue to bastardize the game allowing their members to stay in their little world; and we'll play somewhere else! Lastly, they topped dressed their greens and we were not informed prior to booking this occurred. Good luck with this account, it should be removed. Sincerely, Ralph Russo
