Overcrowding Review
Hate to write to glowing a review because it might make it harder to get my next tee time. Played Beaver Creek on Tuesday and played Santa Maria last Thursday and it was like knight and day. Beaver Creek is in such better shape. Not sure if Santa Maria just gets so much more play or what. Beaver Creek the greens are alive, green with grass and roll pretty true, Santa Maria ether greens are barren and bumpy. Beaver Creek’s traps were well maintained but some do have sand bees, and the fairways are bounded by rough. The rough is not too punitive but it does delineate the fairway and make it the target for every drive. Overall an enjoyable course to play. Just hope there will still be tee times available.
Bad Golf, Great Day
My golf game was not good but the course was. The course was in great shape. Green rolled great, and sand traps in wonderful condition.. the fairways where green and the rough was forgiving. Just wish my game had been better.
Fairways and greens
Fairways Mowed nice and the greens was fast and consistent. Players moved along with normal pace.
Great course
Impressed at the excellent condition of the course
Great Public Course
Great course, very well maintained. Friendly staff in the pro shop and on the course. Only negative is a very unfriendly kitchen staff. Had a difficult time ordering lunch and drinks.
Course improving
Course is in pretty good shape and getting better. Some dead spots on the greens and some dead grass circles in the rough along fairways but things improving. Grass in rough greening up nicely.
Windy and fast greens
Greens was fast; at times the wind blew putts off line. I enjoyed shaping shots in the wind & the person paired with. We finished 3hs and 10 minutes.
