Excellent course for players of all abilities
This course was in wonderful shape and was a pleasure to play. The variety of Tee boxes makes this a very playable course for golfers of all skill levels but be sure to choose the appropriate one for your skill level. I think the slope needs to be recalculated - it seems too low!!
both courses here fantastic !!!!
links course is excellent, difficult, not a links style course but very target golf, trees , hilly, just a great track,,,, lakes course slightly easier but still hilly and tree lined, play them both if possible.
Great course (Lakes) but greens are tricky, very fair otherwise.
Good value and friendly staff. I will play again but you should count on a couple of 3 putts as the greens are fast and you need to be on the right level, hard for the first time player.
Great Facility
These two courses are well worth the effort to travel to area. The Marriott Hotel on site is very nice and perfect for a golf trip with buddy's.
I am anxious to try some of the other RTJ courses as these were very well designed.
What a treat!
Coming from California, these are three of the most challenging and interesting courses that you will ever play. Don't eliminate the short course from your play. It is the most challenging par 3 you will ever play.
Quite a place!
These were probably three of the best and most challenging courses that I have ever played. I played all three. The links course here is the most difficult course I have played, but not impossible for a 14 handicap, if you're on your game. The short course is the most interesting course you'll play minus the tee shot.
Beautiful course and tough test.
Even if it's named "The Links", it is not really your typical links course. Chip and run will not help you here. It is more of a classic course lined with tall pine trees. The fairways are wide enough. The challenge comes with the approach shots. Numerous marshes protect the greens. Requires a lot of carry over. The greens are really undulated. The course is very difficult. You can't get away with an errant approach shot. Bring your A game.
RTJ Grand National Lakes
Great course with plenty of different ways to get in trouble.
Definitely NOT a links-styled layout..
All RTJ trail courses are extremely nice. But this one borders on being unfair. Good golf shots are not rewarded. Mr. Jones missed in his design but making small greens with little to no bailout areas, resulting in good shots ending up in bad or even unplayable
positions.
Cost for out of staters is high when compared to locals. I would NOT play this or other trail courses again...
The course is a great challenge
It was early in season and bermuda grass still dormant but the course played well.
