Better than it has been
Woodcreek is a course that I want to love. If it was in better condition I think I would. It has some really fun holes and offers a challenge for mid to high handicappers. Unfortunately, it just isn't in great shape. The fairways are pretty torn up in places and you have to search to find decent lies sometimes. The greens are extremely slow and don't roll true. The number of times I had balls slow to a stop on downhill putts was crazy. Even though the greens were so slow, they weren't soft enough to grab any kind of pitch or wedge unless you put a massive amount of spin on your ball. Be prepared to adjust your game for these greens. Pace of play was fine but not great especially for a weekday twilight tee time. Their driving range is good times though and they upgraded their mats recently which is a huge plus.
Another great day of golf.
Course was in great shape, staff was friendly as always.
Pace of play
We were back up with 5, yes 5! groups on hole number five. We waited at least 30 minutes to tee off. Never experienced anything like it before on a golf course.
Challenging course
Hole #1 was cart path only with no sign of wetness. Hole #5, par 5, 533 yards with 2 doglegs and several hazards to carry. Hole #3, par 3, with back pin playing 230 yards!
First time playing here
The course was challenging and fun to play, high handicap player here so yes I lost a lot of balls. A few holes are carts path only which made it a little more challenging but wasn’t a big deal. Cart girl was attentive saw her a few times during the round. Definitely coming back.
bad course condition
many holes are still wet and in almost unplayable conditions, good thing is not too many people play so the pace was great, finished round in about 3 hours
It was nice course, had a fun.
But need a control of players.
Front of our team played so long time, and they drink the hard liquor and too loud of their music.
It took almost 5.5 hours of play.
Been a while
I haven't played here in almost 20 years, always enjoyed most of the course. Interesting layout., challenging some difficult holes. Par 5 on the front side, where you have to hit down the right, cross over the left, electric wires in the way, giant tree in front of the green, poorly marked, you have no idea where to go, even after you'd know where to go your options are so ridiculous, out of shape, no real way to play the hole. Got lucky and made par, this is easily too three worst holes I've ever played in 40 years! Re do the hole, maintain with clear signage or close it off and make this 17 hole course. Absolutely horrific! Pace of play was good, 4:10, great fellas to play with, range is closed till 10:30 am on Tuesday just to let you know. I didn't and almost left, bad back and need to warm up but I was.ok. The starter understood and was very kind, gave me a break a ticket for a free lunch. Excellent CS. Course condition is very rough at best, some fairways are in really bad shape, greens were so long and slow, tee boxes ok, so much has overgrown and not maintained in the last 20 years but I understand that was a long time ago, course gets tons of play and they just don't maintain it well. Too many other good tracks to play around here, probably wouldn't go back. Too bad because I used to play here 10-15 times q year .
Good greens bad fairways and bunkers
The fairways and especially the bunkers are in rough shape. Fairways are super patchy and look terrible. Uneven lies. At least the greens are in pretty good shape. Wouldn’t play again until they fix the bunkers and the grass in the fairway grows back.
Not well kept
Disappointed. It has been at least two years since I played the course. We had a frost delay which was understandable due to the morning chill. I am not sure why the delay was such a big deal because the fairways were horrible. No I would not recommend to my friends.
I was a member here several years back and it NEVER looked like this. Brown patches everywhere. They also need to do something about all the downed trees. The course is not being taken care of from my view and they must do better.
Very disappointed. Also, scheduling the groupings too close the pace was horrible and had to wait on every hole to tee off, did not appear the marshal could fix it? Made for a very long round.
Greens are real good
Bunkers still unplayable. Winter fairway grass greening up. Greens are there already. Roll well. #11 needs help. If they’re planting trees to take away direct line then the lay up landing area needs to be improved.
Overall Conditions -- Fairly Dry After the Storms
After the two-weeks of heavy storms and wet weather, the course is very playable. You can drive power carts on almost all fairways. Still a few wet areas on several fairways and holes. Still has accumulated water in some sand traps/bunkers where you can lose your golf ball because you can't see it in the accumulated water. Greens are in excellent condition and very smooth and fast.
Post storm
Cart path only with soaked muddy course, bunker filled with water. Greens in great condition
Ok for a muni course
Ok conditions, greens slow, fairways dry and spotty—too many unmarked ground under repair spots
