Oaks North Great for my Beginnr Skills <or lack thereof> :-)
North Oaks is the first, and only golf course I have played so far, and this is maybe my 3rd time playing 18 holes, 3 or so times before that playing just one of the 9 hole courses. Dan and the staff have been very good to me, understanding that I am just starting out on my new favorite hobby. I walked the course for the first time and it was just FUN! I managed my first 9 on my own, and was paired with two other ladies, also walking, for my second 9. What a great way to start my Sunday!
Beautiful executive course
This 27 hole executive course is laid out with great vistas of the surrounding mountains and villas along the fairways. The fairways and greens are well maintained. This course is ideal for all skill levels.
Great little course
This is a great little course, some Par 4's that are driveable, so it isnt a complete par 3 executive.
Slow Play
Too slow for executive course. Greens in above average condition.
BEST EXEC COURSE IN SAN DIEGO!
just like a big course but only in mini!!! a great course to walk. greens were in great shape!
Staff
Making reservations were great! Price was awesome. However when we went to check in at pro shop, out rate was not honored. So in discussing with staff member why they should honor our rate online, I overheard another staff member stating to customer that he would honor the golf now rate for someone else who was experiencing same situation.
Not good business experience!!
magnificent course
I haven't played here for awhile but when I did....course was well maintained, greens were amazing, fairway were also excellent.I couldn't ask for anything more.
Fantastic greens!
If you want to sharpen your short game on a first rate executive/par 3 course then Oaks North is a great place to go. These greens are as good as it gets. I will be back soon.
Very lush surrounding and pleasant day
My wife and I played here and quite enjoyed it. The fairways are very good, the tees also and the greens were consistent and true. (Courses in San Diego seem to overwater greens so iron shots often leave crater sized ball marks. But players here did fix the marks.) The course is a par 60 and the par fours are often between 240 and 280 yards so several chances at birdie. My wife was pleased because many of the par 3's were over 150 yards and allowed her to use her woods off the tees. All the staff were as pleasant as could be. We played fast for the first 10 holes but then caught up with a foursome who were chatty and slow, but they had the courtesy to allow us to play through. Will play again.
We really like it at Oaks North because of the diversity of play.
The course is in great shape, everything is so green and beautiful. Our round was fun and we traveled at a good pace, no waiting. It is always fun here because every hole is different, not just straight up and back. Very nice and thanks Golf Now for the great deals!
Great course to walk and work your short game.
We love this course. We play during the week so it isn't too crowded. Gentle hills and retirement cottage homes surround the course but allow for plenty of room to go off line.
Par 60 with the feel of a longer course
3 hours. Really enjoyed the layout. Aside from the few really short holes, it seemed like a regular round.
Bring your own clubs
I was very pleased with the course and the staff. BUT, I am a traveler without clubs so I always rent them. I usually get decent up to date clubs whereever I go. Not here. They charged 18.00 for a 9 hole course for the Clubs and there was not two of the same manufacture's irons in either set (rented 2). It was very distracting to say the least. Other than that I would play the course again.
Great Short Round
GolfNow had this listed as a par 72 course. It is actually a par 60. Well maintained greens. Nice short walking course. Friendly atmosphere. Very casual play. One of the best short courses I have ever played.
Fun Course
Unfortunately, some people don't repair their divots. Maybe could do a better job putting carts and walkers on opposite course.
Good pace and challenging flag locations.
Good conditioned par 3 course.
The course is always in good condition. Great course to work on your short game. Staff is friendly and helpful. Some of the tee boxes are crowned so it makes it tough to get a flat spot to tee off of.
great course to practice your short game
i went with my daughter on a Sunday morning. We had a great, enjoyed ourselves. We never felt rushed even we played fast.
Great course for a beginner and to practice your short game.
Staff was super friendly and wellcoming.
Convenient and accomodating
Good course to play for a beginner golfer. It was very busy so it took a lot longer than expected.
Excellent course
Well maintained, very pleasing environment. Friendly staff. Challenging enough to keep the average player on his/her toes. Having three 9 hole courses provides returning players a nice variety of 18 hole combinations and challenges.
nice day to play
Had a great day - it was hot, but a beautiful day to play. The pace of play was just perfect had plenty of time to make the shots without pressure.
The staff came by to keep us hydrated and gave out wet towels to help with the heat. What a nice amenity!
The greens were rolling perfectly, one of my best putting days in awhile.
Played both the south and east course.
