#9 green, right in front of the clubhouse was by far the best conditioned of the day! Photo submitted by u547358672 on 03/15/2023

Customer service is crucial to growing business
Course was in good shape, but ultimately service plays a large part in the overall experience.
I booked a twilight tee time- due to an application, we expected the pace to be slow. (See attached)
Not the issue here. When we made the turn, five groups were backed up. Taking a 2 1/2 hour front nine and making the rest of the round unplayable.
So, we check into the clubhouse and ask for a refund or rain check on nine. Simple request, we live a short distance course and would be back frequently.
Pro shop employee proceeded to challenge my stance on the remaining 9 holes in a couple of ways:
- cart analytics: fair response, try to account for multiple walkers next time. Not sure how you pick that up on your software.
- twilight rate: doesn’t make sense to reimburse or provide rain check because we already got a discounted rate. It’s a Tuesday- the rate isn’t drastically different.
SIMPLE FIX- make it only good for 9 during twilight. We had a threesome and all would be back.
Pro shop employee was rude, combative, and standoffish. Interesting experience to say the least.
Either Grey Rock is hurting for revenue or they just don’t understand that guests are the lifeblood of their business.
Probably won’t be back, better clubs out there.
Great course, staff, amenities
Really enjoyed playing this course. Pace of play was great and we had people walking in front of us.
Someone told me they redid the course recently and it looks great. Greens were tricky but rolled pretty true. Got a deal on the tee time so it was an incredible value.
I definitely would recommend this course!
Great Course…absolutely play it.
Course was in great shape. Food was good. Service was great. Fun layout with some challenge and a little friendliness off the tee.
Horrible conditions for the price, not worth it
Course in bad shape, tight fairways with no grass, crappy tee boxes which they didn't overseed for winter. The only part of the course in good shape is the greens but not worth the price to play here. Go play Willie which is cheaper and it a lot better shape, actually has grass in the fairways.
Greens under repair
Most often with greens under repair and no advance notice its an immediate 1 star. However, the tee boxes, fairways, cart paths, beverage cart, etc etc were all top notch so went with 2 stars. Golf Now needs to do a better job of notating ongoing issues with a course so a golfer can make a tee time with all info available. For me, it was still worth the price paid as I love the layout and fairways were in good shape.
Greens were dead
Paid $90 to play booked on golf now there was no disclosure that the greens were all dead.
Condition should’ve been disclosed and rate discounted.
