Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Great golf afternoon
7 of my golf friends and I played the Blue Course. We were celebrating a special birthday and could not have a better experience. The course was in great shape, and the friendly staff contributed to a wonderful afternoon.
Enjoyed the course. The fairways in great shape, green good also
3/17/2023 Round on Wigwam Blue
Beautiful venue so gave Excellent rating. The course Rating/Slope, in my opinion, did not match the level of difficulty to play course. I played the Championship Tee which is 5572 yards with 67.6/119 rating/slope and had to play extremely hard to break 100 on a par 70 course. My wife struggled as well playing Club Tee which was less yardage than her home course in Virginia. Overall, was not a great memorable experience for us.
My suggestion for those who play there, consider lowering your ego and play a lesser tee to have a more enjoyable round.
Blue Course was in Good Shape
Threatening rains kept many off the course. Tees to fairways to greens were all in good condition. Greens were hard to hold, but rolled fair-speed and true. Sand traps had fluffy sand to work. Rough was OK. Pace was 3.5 hours (could have been 3 hrs. for me , as a single, had the foursome in front of me allowed me to play through). Value for this course was very good. Hope to return soon to play the Gold Course.
Blue course
Rainy day but everyone was very accommodating, starter was great, food cart, course in great shape overall a good day. Round took 3 hours
Solid Track
Very good golf course overall, interesting assortment of holes and challenges, well conditioned fairways and greens. The whole WigWam experience was good, from check in to the range to the course. Pace of play was decent but never saw a marshal and we caught up to a college tournament which slowed things down. Only complaint was the bunkers are inconsistent in the amount of sand. One would be deep sand and the next would look the same but have only a skiff of sand and hardpan underneath, Recipe for a bounced / bladed shot. All in all I really like Wigwam and would rate it one of the best courses for the price in the valley. Will be back
Nice Course and staff
We've played Wigwam blue before. It's a nicely laid out course and the staff are friends. The fee is reasonable and we ususally are paired with nice golfers.
Only negative was the condition and service at the dining area. Table we were seated at was dirty. When I mentioned it they brushed the crumbs off the placemats. There were crumbs over the seats (as well as bird dirt) but they didn't seem concerned. I flipped over the placements and brushed everything aside so we could be more confortable. Prices for drinks were high - mocktail for $10! Waiter told us of the apps at happy hour prices, and then proceeded to charge us full price. Had to correct error.
Not interested in returning to restaurant again.
The blue course is the old red course
It's Spring training and tee time prices are out of sight! I spent the winter skiing, so it was nice to play on a less challenging course.
Nice
This was the first course I played this year that did wall to wall overseed. Everything was green and in pretty decent condition. We had a 45 minute "frost" delay, which has happened way too often in the PHX area this winter. I wish they would just cancel the early tee times, instead of pushing everyone back. If you are dumb enough to book 8:00 when average low temps are in the 30's and 40's, you should lose your tee time.
