Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Poor
Could see back in the day this course would have been great, but not now. Greens were good, fairways decent, but that is about it. First and last time to play there.
Heavily played
Played Saturday at 1 pm. They had 275 players on the tee sheet. 5 hour round, waited on every shot.
The trash cans on the tee boxes were overflowing and the water coolers were empty. Very few parking spaces in the lot.
The greens were in good shape, fairways OK,
The lakes are about half full of water.
I played here in 1986-1990 timeframe and sad to say it has not been kept up even with the high volume of play. Arcis could do better.

Nice course
Course in great shape and very playable but… be ready for many bunkers that can grab your ball.
Hi grandles, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We're glad to hear that you found the course in great shape and enjoyable to play. Thank you and have a great week!
What's not to like, great track
Greens in nice condition and very challenging due the shaping. Some were elevated that added to the interest and challenge. Fairways very good, some of the traps seemed a little compacted. Nice variety of holes.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Our favorite of the 3 we played this week.

Snail pace of play
Waited 5 or more minutes to tee off on each hole..so slow didn't even play 18 th hole

Golf now website
I was booking for 3 foursomes at Superstition Springs
After I booked the first group at $65 per golfer at 2:12, the next
t-time went to $67 - okay, a little gouging
After booking the 2:20 t-time for four and looked at the next it now
is $69 per golfer - go figger
Oh well- I had told our friends it would be $65 plus tax
I can help out poor GolfNow and make up the difference
I would like Golf Now to adjust their website for people like me
Yours sincerely. Rick Corrigan
Quirky, layout
This is the first course we have ever played where you must drive your cart off the fairway 100 yards away from the pin. This happens on several holes, which means you have to take a couple of clubs and walk over to your ball if your approach shot did not reach the green. It just means you have to walk quickly. Otherwise, you are slowing people down. The fairways and greens were in good condition. Several tee boxes were very curved as in not flat. Luckily we golfed with someone who had played the course before who let us know that they have reversed the nines. My $700 GPS did not pick this up so I had to restart the GPS and say that I was starting on the 10th hole. Pace of play was good, and the Marshall correctly asked the group behind us to stop hitting into us. It was great to have a Marshall actually Marshall.
We appreciate your detailed review and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the condition of the fairways and greens. Your comments about the course layout are duly noted, and we will take them into consideration for future improvements.
