North Golf Course at Granite Falls Golf Club
About
The North Course is one of two courses at Granite Falls Golf Club, the other naturally being the South Course. The North Course was built on a rolling, hilly terrain with stately trees and abundant shrubbery. Although the fairways are quite generous, they are undulating and surrounded by sand traps. There is also extensive mounding and bunkering, both grass and sand, to provide more challenge. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes. Many holes have beautiful mountain backdrops, creating a scenic environment for the game. The course has four sets of tees, making it accessible to all skill levels. Granite Falls Golf Club, in addition to the two golf courses, also features a grass driving range with target areas, two putting greens, and a short game area with a practice bunker.

Good value...
Played Granite Falls North course yesterday. Unfortunately crew was getting the course ready for the annual overseeding and course conditions were fair at best. Fairways were shaved and had many clumps of grass. Greens were bumpy and spotty in many areas. Good value for the money and the staff was very friendly.
User friendly
Overall an enjoyable coarse. Condition very consistent. Greens could be a bit faster.
Plush and green
If you haven't played the 4 courses at Sun City Grand lately you are missing out. The fairways are thick, plush and green. 5 star. The rains this summer have made the fairways by far the best in the 7 years I have been here. Tees, greens, and bunkers are worth mentioning too. All excellent. The many fallen trees have been cut up and removed in a very timely manner.
Nice Layout
Nice layout, plays longer than listed because of lush grass and no roll, even in fairways. Greens are slow but consistent.
nice layout
have played here before and have returned, and will again. first you should know water definitely comes into play on hole 1, so if you hit a nice fairway tee shot, as you drive by the lake, toss in a ball to pay homage to the water G-Ds. that said, course in good shape for late August especially with all the weather. one thing, on hole 18, they closed the green for some repairs and made a terrific par 5 into a long 4, people should be made aware of this, no biggie, but still. and i will certainly be back
Not What I Expected
Was informed during check-in that play was golf cart path only. It was an extremely hot and humid day (monsoon time). If I would have know prior that it was golf cart path only I would not have booked reservation. Course fairways are in very poor condition. I only played this first nine holes due to extreme heat and walking due to cart path rules. Will not play here again.
Terrific!
This day is the reason I golf. Great staff, challenging but not impossible layout, and beautiful course.
This is a can't miss. I will be back soon!

Course was in terrible condition. Greens very bumpy, and fairways not very good. Have played here before and conditions have been a lot better....
Sun City Grande/Granite Falls
I have played one other of the four courses at Sun City Grande. Conditions were good, the weather was perfect.
The check-in staff were great...friendly, very helpful, attentive.
The Starter was a jerk and does not reflect the helpful attitude of the rest of the staff we interacted with.
Pace of play is an issue (I played there twice last week) and bailed both days at hole 15 due to the extreme slow play.
Not a single Marshall monitoring after 11am.
Sadly, I was there on behalf of a Client looking for Golf Course Real Estate in the West Valley.
Nice course for the money
I have played Granite Falls before, normally the South Course. I was pleasantly surprised (no pun intended) how nice the North course was. Great layout, greens rolled nice even though a little crispy. Pace of play was a 4 hour round. My only knock is the staff at times, especially the starter who was pretty rude, at least pretend to enjoy talking to people and explaining the local rules. It was the same both times I've played Granite Falls. Other than that, a great round with some very nice locals, will recommend to my friends.
Great summer shape
The 4 Sun City Grande courses are always in the best of shape in the summer. They are always mowing, trimming, cleaning or just generally maintaining the course so well. Greens were nice and quick. From tee to green it is in great shape. Play it while you can before the dang snowbirds come back.
Great time
I played Monday and it was a shotgun, I was on 6a by myself. I thought I took the wrong turn and was on the wrong course. I finally came up on a twosome named Sam and Dan. We had a great time and thank them it was fun.
Well maintained course
Nice course, very well maintained, nice layout. Recommend course to all.
Great Sun City Grand course
Granite Falls North for this time in August is in great shape from tee to green. The layout is interesting and challenging with many immense sand bunkers in the fairways and guarding the greens. Had the course to my self and my golfing buddy so pace of play was excellent. Got a great deal on Golf Now as this course is usually unavailable during prime season. Highly recommend and will look for any reasonable opportunity to play it again soon.
A grand time
We love playing the courses at Sun City Grande. We only play them in summer because of cost and fact they are packed in winter time. North course is true challenge. I like fact that most par threes are shorter, not 220 yards. Very wide open and little sand. Rough is very fair and can be difficult as ball will sometimes drop deep down. Closing hole is a great finishing hole. Since my brother and I are usually only a few strokes separated, this hole is one to win or lose match on.
Course was in great shape considering the storm they had on Saturday night . I have played this course several times in the past year and the course has always been in great shape.
