Grand Cypress - North/South

I enjoyed playing this course and would love to play the other 18 holes Jack Nicklaus designed
Great layout

I expected more value for money. Now, in high season, the course suffers a bit from the high traffic. Maintenance does not compare with private courses and the pace of play was not impressive. I would look for other courses if your looking for a “high end” experience.

Great course with a very nice layout and challenging track. Lot's of bunkering and hazards. Course was in great shape. My only complaint was the driving range tees were way up and limiting us to irons when I played. I love the layout and lack of houses or OB surrounding course. A true PGA style layout without many residential areas.

The course was nice. I liked the layout and conditions. My problem was with the pace of play. I read in a few other reviews that this place has a lot of outings, but I figured, “what’s the chances they have one the day I am going?” Well there were 2 outings the day I went.

The first was a Home Depot outing which pretty much took up the entire driving range when I arrived and people were waiting for open slots to warm up. This left me very little time to hit balls.
That group ended going out on the new course, while I was going to play 2 of the nine hole courses. So I never saw that group again.

We then got to the starter, and he informed us there was another outing at 10:00am that was going to have a shotgun start on the 9 hole courses, and that they would filter us all in as we made the turn.

I was stunned. Needless to say, we played in 5 hours and 15 minutes. To pay that much money for a round of golf to have that kind of experience is totally unacceptable. The place is just trying to squeeze as many people on the golf course as possible. I feel there should be discounted rates for days where your play may be interfered with, or there should be some kind of notification during booking. “Hey, we have 2 outings going out this day”. I would have gladly paid more money to play elsewhere with that information.

The course was well-manicured. The greens were very large, in excellent condition, and rolled true. The fairways were very nice. It was very challenging with a great finishing hole. It is a definite come-back course and one I would highly recommend playing.

The course is in great condition, a must play if you're in the Orlando are.

Played here before and really enjoyed it. This time the course wasn't in great shape and for the money, I've plaid much better courses. Played Crooked Cat at OCN today and it was in much better shape.

No GPS in the carts...for this price?

Staff were great.

Course was in fantastic shape with very fast greens that rolled true! Starter was very friendly and despite a packed parking lot, we played an afternoon round in 3 1/2 hours. Tees, fairways, and greens were near perfect!

Overall, I was impressed with the course. However, be very careful when you play. They allowed a group of I would guess 50 people play a tournament during regular hours. We were completely blocked where ever we went. & they were so slow & would not let anyone through. They should have told normal people what was going on & I would have played elsewhere. I was paired with another single & we only got to play 13 holes because it was so slow. The 2 of us with another avg 2some could have finished in 4 hours or less, easy. Won't go back

Grand Cypress caters to a high-end client for a good reason: It's a great layout and everything is first class. I played North-South courses and all 18 holes were fun and challenging. Wish I could afford to do it again.

My wife and I were in Orlando for a week and we use GolfNow whenever we are traveling. The course was in great condition. However inconsiderate players don't fix their divits or ball marks. Guess you could find that anywhere. Greens are fast. Maybe a few bad pin placements on slopes. Staff was excellent. We tee'd off a little after 1pm and finished in 4 hours. We plan to play their again this week.
