Rhodes Ranch Country Club
About
Hidden in the folds of the Southern Nevada desert is the lush oasis of Rhodes Ranch Golf Club. The abundance and variety of water features characterize the golf course. Ponds and lakes come into play frequently. There are also mature palms lining the gently rolling fairways and generous greens. The club is known for the immaculate maintenance of the verdant tropical landscape. The course is player-friendly while at the same time offering Las Vegas golfers some unexpected challenges. The layout boasts a set of four impressive par 3s including the scenic third hole, which requires a tee shot over a pond. The designer, Ted Robinson, touted the holes as the best he's ever designed. Rolling mounds and strategic bunkering as well as the occasional multi-tiered green make the golf course more difficult, but there are wide fairways and ample landing areas to provide a balance. The playability of the course combined with the reasonable rates, especially for Las Vegas golf, has earned the club a popular following.

#16 Par 3 ... large great but must hit the distance. Photo submitted by Wally4 on 02/01/2013
Very friendly staff and players style course
Enjoy the layout and ease of play. Rather forgiving for the player that occasionally misses the fairway. Rough is over seeded and cut to playable depth. Some of the greens are bumpy and hard to read. Water features add a little visual challenge.
Shout out to the greenskeeper and crew. Great condition in February
Fairways, greens, rough, and tee boxes are all in great shape for a public course in February, so I just wanted to recognize the head greenskeeper and crew. Honestly better than TPC Summerlin that I played last week.
Oscar will be very appreciative to hear this. We strive to offer the best product at the best possible competative rates.
Great Conditions
The course was great, we all had a really good time. The pace of play was nice, we didn’t feel rushed and never had to wait. The only thing that brought the rating down was the bartender was pretty rude when I bought drinks before the round and then when we called to try and order food at the turn she sounded annoyed about it
Forgiving Course
Rhodes ranch golf course is a forgiving and pleasurable course to play. Obviously you have to hit it somewhat straight. I'm a senior with a 15 handicap and I shot an 84 from the senior tees. The entire course from tee to green was in very good condition. Staff was very friendly. I'd definitely play this course again.
Thank You for such an honest review!
Rhodes Ranch
Lovely course, very green compared to most Las Vegas courses. Lower areas in front of greens are moist, so bring your higher bounce wedges. No ball washers on the carts or at the tee boxes, so pick up a couple wet cloths when you get your cart.
Starter needs an attitude adjustment
The course was in great shape greens rolled nice with about a 10 on the stemp. Range is off of mats. Pro shop was friendly. Starter was an idiot. He needs an attitude adjustment. If you want to loss business he is one person that will help with that. Pace of play was ok starting at 8:12 but definitely one that if you start after 9am it will be a long round. Marshall on the course is worthless. All he is there to do is look like he cares which he doesn't.
We just wanted to apologize for the starter and the pace play almost ruining your total experience. We are working with our rangers and ownership to address these issues which are plaguing most public courses these days. We are receiving new carts in November with GPS monitors to help improve pace and reduce back ups. The Starter has already been coached on his performance in the situation you are referring to. Thank You!
Great facility, friendly staff, and well kept course marred by slow play
I enjoy Rhodes Ranch, to practice and eat, playing is a different story. Their practice area is legitimately one of the best in Vegas. They have an excellent restaurant with a killer Reuben and fries. The staff has some fantastic people who are super pleasant, accommodating, and good at their jobs. The course conditions are fantastic. The mountain views are gorgeous. And there are some seriously excellent holes!
But anytime I play it, there are always traffic jams all over the course, usually at the same problem areas, and I always end up either skipping a hole (or two) to get by extremely slow groups or spend half the round waiting, sandwiched by other parties. It’s frustrating to have marshalls go past you multiple times a round but see no real effect on pace, and it’s just not the relaxing experience you’d like from a round of golf when you are the meat in an overbooked sandwich.
Maybe I just need to give up playing it on the weekend, I honestly don’t know. If Rhodes Ranch could space out the tee times just a little bit I think it would do so much for the enjoyability of the golf course.
Hopefully they improve, because again, everything outside of pace of play is excellent here.

Cart
It was 42/45 degrees in the morning n cart girl (cart) didn’t hv coffee to offer, had to get it on the turn. Most girls offer to bring it nx time, not ur girl??
Unfortunately our beverage carts aren't set up to carry hot beverages. Which means it would be difficult to bring a single cup of coffee to an individual golfer. Especially if she has to continue around the course to you, then you would be receiving a cold cup of coffee.
Meh!
Staff seemed to tolerate rather than welcome guests. It’s a nice course, good shape, but had waiting on every hole. For the money, there are better choices in Vegas I think

Thank you for such an Honest review. We will foreword it on to our superintendent. If a few greens were bumpy do to high volume of play, its the price we pay. We are currently working with corporate to reduce tee time spread from 8 minutes to 9 minutes, however with less play comes higher rates.
