Ambassador/marshall really rude
Ambassador/marshall came to us really rude demanding us to play faster. The problem was that we weren’t the group backing everyone up… it was 2 groups ahead. We tried to explain and he was very rude and didn’t even let us talk. He later came back with a different attitude since he realized it wasn’t us holding everyone up. Even then, he didn’t apologize for his attitude toward us.
Nice Executive coarse in Lomas Santa Fe.
As stated in my star ratings, the staff, course conditions and pace of play were all excellent. I'm a high handicapper and used the round to challenge my iron play and short game. The staff was great and the facilities were great of a little post-play refreshment. We will be back...
Slow Twilight weekend play
The threesome ahead of us were sharing 1 set of clubs and this made playing very slow. We started at 5 and only were able to enjoy 9 holes before it got dark
Course conditions
I was reading reviews before playing the course and I thought it was better than that. Greens were very good and the bunkers had more sand than was written. There are always unfixed divots on an executive course and that’s to be expected.
good early morning walk
I like to walk LSF Exec anytime, but especially on weekends. Less than 3 hours in typically great coastal weather. The greens are always in fine condition. Bunkers are improving every month. Just a few wet areas and a couple of tee boxes need attention. This course is a good value with great pace.
Local favorite
This course serves its community and the locals are very loyal. Layout is not bad but many holes are of similar distance and call for the same club.
Tee boxes are rough and crowned. Greens are soft and receptive but it seems the locals never learned to fix a ball mark.
Nice little executive course
Most hole between 90-120 yards, mainly used two clubs for most holes. Tee boxes crowned and in need of resoding. Greens are soft and really receptive, but this leads to them be covered in unrepaired or poorly repaired ball marks. Clear areas of the greens rolled well. Bunkers are like a lot of local courses and lack any depth of sand, many had grass sprouting through.
We enjoyed ourselves and the pace of play was descent but could have been better.
Nice shape overall
Greens and most tee boxes are in great condition. #10 tee box needs help. Bunkers need sand, but that’s pretty common on most courses since Covid-19’s radical response.
Best executive course in town
I always enjoy playing here every once in a while and a great course for beginners. I only have one minor issue and that is that the greens this last time, need to be upkept better…divots are not being repaired by golfers or the course crew. The gentleman at the pro shop (dont know his name) on 9-4-2023 is very pleasant and nice to all.
Always a top choice
the greens were rolling great and the entire course was in spectacular condition….particularly considering the recent storm (Hilary). The course drained well and only the bunkers showed signs of the recent rain. But I never hit into a bunker so I’m judging by what I saw. Tee off was 7:40 and “on time”.. I played with two other golfers and we finished in under three hours.. I think 2hr45min.. Not bad.
