Bumpy greens
The course was great but I found the greens to be a little bumpy.
The thrill is gone
Greens were nice, but pockmarked. Fairways should have had more grass this late in the spring. Proshop staff was rude.
Not the same level of quality-in any respect- that I remember from the early 2000s.
Awesome staff! Would play again when we come back!
Easy track, terrible conditions. Never again.
Course layout was very fair, if not easy. Cart staff was great and inside staff was nice. Practice facilities were in good shape but crowded because of the load from 3 courses. On course bathroom was very bad. Tear it down and start over. The real problem was the course conditions. While the greens were the highlight, the tees were very, very thin and the fairways were commonly as bad. One fairway on the front had zero grass until you were within 30 yards of the green. Pace of play was not monitored at all. For the money, play somewhere else where they care about the experience. The reputation was too good for things to be as bad as they were.
Probably was nice
Not what I expected for a Palmer course. Lack of maintenance otherwise a good track.
Great conditions
Course in great shape. Pace of play was awesome. Will definitely be playing here again.
Spring Break Trip Myrtle Beach National West
Very friendly course for beginners. My wife and I played here for our first trip to MB. Pace of play was nice. Four hours and ten minutes for 18. Better than I expected for this time of year. Wide fairways and beautiful greens. Nice layout as well. Recommend for anyone beginner to experienced.
Pleasent Round
Pretty easy course. Not much to the layout as long as you keep your tee shot out of the trees and the white tees were 6100 yards but felt shorter than that so you don't need a driver on a number of these holes. There's a little water but it's for show as it really doesn't come into play. All greens slope back to front so hitting even medium irons into the bent grass greens means your shots held nicely. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape for March. Great staff and off-course facilities. Enjoyable round but just not a great challenge for the price point even at MB.
