About
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a championship, 18-hole golf facility designed by David Druzinsky. This desert links style course offer generous fairways and a scenic view of the natural desert sage and brush surrounding. The difficulty lies in the slope of putting green so golfers beware.
The Duke at Rancho El Dorado is a par-72 golf course that measures 7,011 yards from the back tees.
After a round on the Duke at Rancho El Dorado, head to Silver Spur Grill for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio, which offers vistas of the Estrella Mountains as well as that 18th hole you just wrapped up on.

Sunrise Hack
The course was in better shape this year. The fairways & rough were much more playable. The greens rolled well & had pretty good speed. The bunkers were improved but varied from hole to hole. Nice white sand on one hole & not so soft dirt on the next. Overall I find the layout challenging & not all tricked out.
The Duke would be proud!
In town for WM Open. 3rd year in a row we played the Duke and it was great again this year too. Staff was amazing and food great after the round on the patio overlooking the 18th green.
Pretty disappointed
It's a nice course but in a state of disrepair. Lots of areas with no grass, the greens were pock marked be cause no one fixes their ball marks and the water was flowing over the cart path on #4. Overall it wasn't worth what we paid, and we won't play it again.
The lady at the bar at the 19th hole was nice but we ordered the loaded nachoes with beef and extra jalapeños. It was a large plate but there was no beef! We told the lady behind the bar about it and she "oh, I told them beef". She didn't offer to get us another plate but when we went to pay she charged us full price, plus more for the extra jalapeños!
It's on my list of "never play again" courses!
Fun to play
The duke is a nice long course with mostly wide open fairways. The only issue is that if Maricopa has had any rain there are several areas on the course that will be flooded. Depending on the amount of rain it may affect your ability to play from some areas. We had to drive through water a couple of times because the cart path was under water but they did put out stakes to mark the path.
great day for a round of golf!
Course is in reasonably good shape. greens are nice. The odd "flooding" issue, but overall good.
Staff extremely pleasant.
Beautiful day, great company, all around very enjoyable afternoon.
Beautiful Course
Despite the hour frost delay at 28*, me an my buddies had a great time. Course was in great shape, pace was just over 4 hours and the beers were cold. Bartender was a little snobbish but had a great time overall. Will def be back soon.
