Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5-Star rating!
Fun yet challenging - Great public course!
I love the Lark.
They’ve put a lot of work in to make this a great facility. They’ve updated the bar / restaurant, menus, pro shop, and just the overall vibe. They have the best range balls of any public range around. The whole vibe is very laid back. The course has lots of variety including some fun uphill and downhill holes. Usually the course is in great shape for a public course.
Thank you so much for the 5-Stars and kind words!
Gross
The course was full of oily water. Stinky mud is all over the course yet they charged full price and the people working the course were rude and obnoxious..
We are very sorry for the experience you had. Our course has battled with this wet winter. At over 100 years old we definitely take a bit longer to drain than some of the other local tracks. Hopefully you'll give us another shot to show you a great day once the course is dried out.
Greens sandy and very bumpy.
Greens were in rough shape. Played with a local and he said greens were punched 3 weeks ago. They have not recovered at all. No notification of green conditions prior to booking.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and a 4-Star rating. We did punch our greens on 3/18-3/19 and had notifications/alerts through all online booking sites for the following week. Unfortunately the recent weather conditions led to a little longer recovery time for the greens than normal. We can't wait to have you back out to see the greens fully healed!
not bad, not great either
fun time. however, there are no ball cleaners so we had to soak a towel and DIY. Course layout was confusing, for the first time playing, it was not at all intuitive, we had to follow the other group. A lot of skipping around the course. Tee boxes seemed shabby, but greens were fine. Only 2 par 5's, but whatever.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We actually just put new ball washers out on the course last week so the next time you join us, you will have those at your disposal.
Did not know the greens had been aerated. Couple of holes still trying to drain the water from the fairways from the last rain storm.
Thanks for the 4-Stars! We do our absolute best to notify all golfers of the aerification but sometimes it slips through the cracks. Looking forward to having you out again once the greens are fully healed and the course is finally dry!
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a rating. We hope the next time you join us we will meet your expectations and show you a 5-Star day!
The course conditions were horrendous. It wasn’t worth the money that we were charged to play.
We apologize your expectations were not met on your most recent round. We hope you'll give us another shot once the course dries out and we are fully healed from the March aerification.
Lack Of Proper Drainage
This is a great course but it was still flooded from the rains. The staff explained that it is an old course built without drains. Im sure it will be great once they pump out some of water and the turf drys.
It was quite wet and muddy yesterday
Thanks for the taking the time to leave us a note here on Golf Advisor. You're definitely correct about the course conditions and our crew is working hard to get the water pumped out of the areas that are still affected. Can't wait to have you back to see the course once everything drys out!
Looks like we missed the mark on your round in regards to course conditions. We are working hard to remedy the issues caused by the winter storms and look forward to showing you a much better experience the next time you join us!
Flooded
The course is totally flooded right now. Almost every hole has severe water issues. All holes are cartpath only. One whole they cut 100 yards off the Teebox because the fairway is so flooded. I would not recommend playing this course until May.
We are definitely experience some issues here given the heavy winter storms and our 100+ year old golf course. Our staff is working dilligently to get the water pumped anywhere we can off the course but unfortunately it is a slow process. The lowest points of the course (holes 14/15 and holes 10-12) are the major issues and we are close to getting the water off the course and allowing the grass to rehabilitate. Looking forward to seeing you back on the course once everything dries out and we are back to normal conditions.
Thank you for the 4-Stars!
Wet and slow
The course is very wet. That made it even slower than a normal Sunday. Round took 6 hours
While we do our best to manage pace of play, the cart path only designation along with come very long rough leads to come longer round times. We hope you'll come back once we get things dried out.
Course Flooded + Pace of Play
I've played it before and liked it, but won't be back for the foreseeable future.
Course is basically flooded from the rain with about half the holes having lakes in the middle of the fairway.
Add in a tournament on Sunday afternoon - we were 4 hours in and through 11 before skipping three groups that had two entire holes open in front of them. The marshall said it was a tournament for money so not much could be done. Played 14-18 with zero wait, group we skipped was on 16 when we finished. No thanks.
We're sorry to hear about your experience and hope you'll give us another try once we can get the course dried out. Unfortunately weekend pacing has been slower than normal given the cart path only designation along with some very difficult rough.
Rain made for poor conditions
Course is o. The rough was too high and mud everywhere. I understand this is due to the recent rains.
We definitely appreciate your understanding regarding the course conditions. Unfortunately with our 100+ year old course we do not have any real drainage to help dry things out. While our maintenance staff does the best they can with pumps to move water, it still takes us a while to get dried out. Hopefully you will join us again once the weather turns and we can get things dried out.
Great course. Rain water still a problem
I played Meadowlark on 2/16. The course is always in good condition. Unfortunately, the recent heavy rains have left a lot of water on the course. They are doing the best they can to pump it out, but it may take some time to get the course back to normal. Tees and greens were in excellent shape. Fairways were great too except were some flooding is present. Some rough areas were a bit swampy thus carts were still required to stay on paths. Looking forward to getting back out there once it dries out a little more.
Thanks for the kind words and 4-Star rating! We are working hard to get the course dried out but in a tough spot with not much drainage to speak of on our 100+ year old course!
Couse was full of standing water. Greens were good condition. Pace of play was good, no waiting.
Thanks for the 4-Stars Mike! Looking forward to drier days ahead!
