The course is really a nice layout with plenty of challenge. The cart paths really need some attention and are in need of patching and resurfacing. We had a six-some playing in front of us which I thought slowed down play considerably.
Never Disappointed
Second time at Cherry Blossom in 3 weeks after a 7- or 8-year hiatus from the course. Super friendly and helpful staff, course is well-maintained, and has just the right combination of tough and not so tough holes for a handicap in the mid-teens, such as myself. A fantastic "Hot Deal" through Golfnow topped it off, as my wife and I played 18 with a cart for a grand total of $55 for both! Highly recommend this course.
Very Good Course
You can tell they take good care of this course. The course itself is beautiful, but the back 9 is gorgeous. Lots of wind when we played, affected play some, especially on back 9. Greens were in good condition as were the fairways. Only negative thing is the cart paths could use some work.
Great course
The gps isn’t available in the carts but other than that it was a great course.
It had been a while...
Played this course for the first time since 2013. Played with my wife who is a beginner, and was still able to play in just under 3.5 hours, so the pace of play was great.
I got a very good deal through Golfnow, which Is why I rated "Value for the Money" as excellent. The staff at Clubhouse and the few we encountered during our round were all super friendly.
The layout of the course is such that if you can hit it fairly straight you rarely encounter serious problems. Minimal trees are a treat for those of us who don't always find the fairway off the tee. There is some water, but other than one par 3 on the back nine it rarely comes into play.
The cart paths are rough in a few spots, and the bunkers weren't as pristine as I remembered, but it's not to the point where I wouldn't play here again. In fact, the Mrs. and I decided we were going to include Cherry Blossom in our "rotation" and try to play it regularly over the coming season.
All in all I recommend this course. Sure, the golf snobs will find ways to pick it apart, but the bottom line is that it's generally well-maintained, it has its challenging holes, the staff was great, and it was a refreshing break from playing Muni's where half the people on the course don't know what they're doing.
I can't speak to the off-course amenities, as we didn't seek them out.
We'll definitely be back.
December golf
The course was in excellent condition from tee to green. Staff was helpful friendly and courteous. All the makings for a great day of golf. Highly recommend
Awkward in the Pro Shop
I was waiting in the pro shop to check in my tee time and nobody was there for a few minutes when an older couple walked in (I'm assuming they manage or possibly own the course) and started talking about installing security cameras in the pro shop like people were going to steal something, I kinda took it to offense and it was very awkward for myself and the other gentleman waiting. Other than that it was good, the pro shop attendant met us at the tee box to allow our smaller group to tee off before a larger group, course was nice good greens.
Was left stranded fir over an hour and had to walk back!
First time, worth playing
This is a nice track and in fairly good condition for this time of year. I’d say it’s well worth playing for the money.
