On back 9 Photo submitted by Lsj021 on 11/18/2012
Horrible Cart Gal
We enjoyed our game today on 04/13/2024. Course is in great shape and most staff was friendly. The cart gal was completely rude and offstandish. We encountered her server times today and she was rude. So bring your own water.
Great course bad pace
I loved the layout of the course. The issue is I couldn't tee off by 230 pm and finish the round due to slow groups ahead. Marshall's were non-existent.
Watch Out for that Back Nine
QP is under new ownership and has made upgrades. Course is in excellent shape tee to green. Staff is excellent. Front nine is pretty typical of a desert track. Not a lot of trouble. The back nine is quite another story. Picturesque views, forced carries across the quarry, any shot off line is a goner. Still, overall a good place to play.
Spectacular Value
Course is spectacular visually and really interesting to play. Back 9 is deep into the quarry, and will force you to be creative. Highly recommend.
Fun course. Worth checking out
The course is in really good condition right now. I believe they just got a new superintendent so they are working on improving the course.
Fairways were good and the rough was pretty lush. The greens were rolling nice. Had to fix a few ball marks but nature of playing public courses.
Only downsides is not enough sand in the in the bunkers I was in. They have a driving range but it's closed due to disputes with the apartment buildings close by I heard.
One of the more unique courses since the back 9 sits in a quarry. Definitely worth checking out.
Quarry on Point
Enjoyed playing course again but still sad no driving range.
With the rain and good weather the course was in good shape. Pin placement on one particular par 3 (15) was pretty suspect.
Staff very friendly
If you've never seen a Road Runner they are everywhere and bunnies galore
Fun in Valentines Day
We played Quarry Pines two years ago and looked forward to the challenge of playing it again!!!
It is two courses, with the front nine through the homes and the back through the Quarry
So much illusion and challenge!!!
Course is in good shape. Be careful on the back nine . Lots of fun
Great course with the quarry design
Took my 7 yr old daughter for the first time and everyone made her feel welcomed. Hopefully 1st of many memories for daddy and daughter.
Charged for 9 holes as for 18.
When your t-rime is 3 pm there is no way you can play 18 holes. Sunset is at 5:16 in December and it takes 2 hours to play 9 holes…
Fun challenge
I have golfed this course several times over the years while visiting the Tucson area. It definitely has some challenges being built in an old quarry area. Some of the fairways are narrow, which makes accuracy imperative. The course is in good shape. The day we played the greens were quite slow so you had to be aggressive on most uphill and level putts. Overall, I think most would find this course enjoyable. Bring a few extra balls as you will probably need them. There are some very nice views and I enjoyed another round at Quarry Pines.
