well maintained tree-lined city course
Nice layout. Challenging from theblack/gold's make it an enjoyable round. Red tees for my wife play pretty long, but fair. Staff at the bar is excellent. They provided friendly, quickservice. Food is the best golf course food I've ever had-burgers, salad, Reuben. Enjoyed the course so much, we played the South course the next day
Nice Course- Time for new carts!
The public golf selections in Prescott are limited so there is not a lot of incentive to excel. The building and parking lot needs an update. The carts are old and shabby and the brakes are iffy. There is no USB port for charging. The course itself is nice but not great. Dirt paths need to be paved or at least regularly graded.
I found it hard to believe that mid week it took 2 1/2 hours to complete nine holes of golf. We were stacked up at every hall with a no-win end in sight to the delay. Made me remember why I never play this golf course.
In need of Water
Need to figure out how to have water available since no return to clubhouse after nine occurs
Slowwwww
Very slow play, greens soft but semi fast and rough (foot prints). Nice group and sunny.
Nice course for the money. They get stacked up as walkers are allowed, but my round flowed well. A few weird holes but that makes it challenging.
Time to offer golf etiquette seminars!!!
I really enjoy the staff here, the food is over the top good, and the bartenders are the best.
Now the hard truth about the course.
Countless times including the day I played some selfish moran has spit out sunflower seeds casing on the green. Not one or two, but 20.
They never make people pair up like two twosomes become a foursome. People at this course have no idea that is what is best to speed up play.
There is no offer to play though if you are a single or double and encounter a foursome. God forbid if you are golfing with you r wife and she hits better then the old retired guys then you will never be able to play through.
I frequently stop playing due to slow play after the 12th hole.
In Prescott the average Joe only has two good courses to play. Stone Ridge is way too expensive to ride around in beat up golf carts. The rest are Private and that leaves Antelope Hills as the only resort.
We played it today and it was overbooked so bad that on hole seven we had three foursomes waiting at the same time. Then a course ranger had the nerve to tell us to pick up the pace. We will never be going back there again.
