Nice Layout, poor traps
I really enjoyed the layout of the course. The bunkers were in terrible condition, though. The same issue i had last year. I recommend the course, just avoid those bunkers.
Nice course for the money
Not very woman friendly. Some holes and hazards to long for most women. Good course for men
great condition, tough rough
Very nice looking course from tee to green. Never was pushed and never had to wait on anyone. If I was pushed to have one complaint it would be the jungle like rough, first cut is bad enough hit the second cut and you can kiss your ball goodbye
course review
greens recently plugged and sanded so were little bumpy and slow, Understandable.
Course staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Course it's self a little shaggy but I noticed effort is being made to clean up around the perimeter the dead trees and shrubs.
Bunkers need work, hard crusted, need more sand.
Drumm is a solid course!
Been here plenty of times, I like to play Drumm from time to time! Good & scenic layout, generous fairways but don't hit it in the rough during summer, they are thick! I've had some of my best days here when I'm swinging freely, course has a lot of scoring opportunities.
watch the native grass.
The course is mostly wide open, but the rough is tight then the native grass comes into play. The only negative is the course should keep the native grass cut. Take an extra sleeve of balls.
Greens in great shape
One green still had many small limbs that had blown onto it from the night before. Should have been cleaned off before play started for the day. Other than that, the course itself and greens were excellent
great for a quick game
good course to keep up with skills when you don't have time for 18 holes,or working on your swing or putting ,when you need to slow down & put to practice what you have learned off course.
For this late in the season course is in great shape.
Played here several times this year, and have never been disappointed. Course is in terrific shape, although the greens are a bit slower than in the past - likely due to winter season coming. Still one of the nicest public courses in the area.
great price for this course
the only bad thing about the course was the greens appeared to have been recently aerified. Still a little bumpy but it is fall. Love this course layout!
a very nice layout and well maintained.
A very nice layout. You will play up, down, left and right. Terrain includes water, tall grass, trees and a moderate number of bunkers. There is plenty of width to the fairways; just make sure you hit them. Errant shots will cost you big time. The greens had been aerated two weeks prior to our visit, so each player received a $10 gift card for food & beverages.
Drumm Still In Great Shape
Fairways have been great all year and greens are true. Greens still smooth since no aeration lately. Bunkers were wet from rain the day before. Almost all of them needed work. But overall the condition of the course is great.
Very nice course - well maintained
The staff was great. I booked on the wrong day. I showed up and they worked me in at the rate GolfNow quoted. Very well maintained course.
Played the par 3 course.
Course was in great shape. First time there. I'd go back again.
very nice course. Well maintained and friendly staff.
Drumm Farm is a very nice course. Very well maintained and super friendly staff. Quite often a very good bargain on Golf Now.
Excellent Course
This was the first time I played here, and I can't say enough about the course's condition and the course itself. The tee boxes were in excellent shape, as were the fairways. No dead or dry spots, and very well manicured, all despite the dry weather we have experienced this summer. After playing on some other courses in town that were in much worse shape, it was awesome to play on a course where the staff made it a point to keep things in top shape.
The greens were, for the most part, very nice, but a few of them had some dry spots. I wouldn't consider it a game breaker at all, though, as it was evident that they were taking steps to keep things up and not just ignoring problems.
The course was fun, and pretty challenging, at least for a beginner golfer like myself. The fairways are fairly wide and forgiving, but if you miss your shot off the tee, it's going in the tall grass and your ball will be lost. There were also a fair amount of fairway and greenside bunkers, where I spent most of my time.
I would recommend this course to anyone on the area, especially for GolfNow Hot Deals.
A very nice surprise. I have never played Drumm but was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Great course.
From the clubhouse to the course all was very well maintained. The course offered some challenging shots but was forgiving as well...... Enjoyed the entire day.
This course is not only beautiful, but fun to play.
We were the first group off and played as a threesome in 3 hours. The second round took a little longer as the course had filled in by then - we stilled play in 4 hours. We played from both the white (6100 yards) and blue tees (6500 yards). The two sets of tees provided for two very different courses. We saw all types of wildlife (i.e. deer, turkeys, geese, ducks and snakes) - it was gorgeous. The areas of the course left to grow wild not only provided great definition to the holes and rough, but it encourages the presence of wildlife. While very punitive (i.e. lost balls), the long grass rarely comes into play. The meals we had between rounds were superb. I would highly recommend playing Drumm Farm to any golfers of all playing levels.
Very average design
I was very excited to play here but after 2 holes I got this sour taste for it. I really don't know why but I wasn't impressed with the design. The bunkers need a major overhaul as maybe two inches of sand in each. They allow fivesomes and they move at turtle speed.
I would not recommend this course.
