McCullough's Emerald Golf Links
About
The golf course at McCullough's Emerald Golf Links is an 18-hole, public course that is situated within minutes of Atlantic City. Designer, Stephen Kay decided to pay tribute to famous European golf courses such as St. Andrew's in his design. The European influences are reflected in the open fairways, tricky strong winds, and undulating greens. The golf course also boasts the region's only 100-feet elevation changes.
McCullough's Emerald Golf Links' signature hole is the seventh; it is also the course's most unique. The hole features hazards like large bunkers and wide, rolling fairways. Water hazards also come into play on five holes. The acclaimed golf course is challenging but it does provide a truly unique golfing experience.

Must Play Course
Can’t say enough about this course. It was very challenging, very interesting. Staff was great. Dining was great. We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend.
Back Again
Played here last year really enjoyed it, this past week, a nice day and fun partners, enjoyed it all again. Greens were fast. Will be back.
Dr Bib
Nice course that is very well conditioned. Interesting layout. A great place to play at the Jersey shore.
Avid golfer
The course is very nice and in great shape despite the hot weather. The only complaint was too many twosomes contributing to slow play. The starter was friendly but should have combined the twosomes to speed up play.
Best Value in the Area
There are a lot of pricey public courses in the area, but McCullough's is not one of them. But don't let the cheaper rates fool you, this is an excellent course. The holes consist of replicas of famous links golf holes from around the world. The signature hole is a version of the famous "Lido hole" designed by the famed Alistair McKenzie for a design contest, and ultimately in the plans for the original Lido Golf Club (not the new Lido Golf Club that still exists, which also contains a version of the famed hole), but never built. The Conditions were above-average relative to some of the other courses in the area, and coupled with the price, made this a very good value.
Friendly staff, overall course was in great shape fairways and greens were very good.
Great links golf
Only downside is there is NO shade on the course. Bring plenty of sun screen! Otherwise course is terrific and will play there again soon
best shape ever
McCullough's has never been so good. Course is playing firm and fast and its in great shape,. Pins were in tough spots today and made some holes quite tricky,. The new Vagabond Pub has great food and you can eat outside and not be restricted by COVID. This is a great course and tons of fun.
Quality Links Course!
This was my first time playing at McCullough's. Challenging elevations and a couple of blind holes. If you play conservatively you can shoot a good score., but if too aggressive you'll need a lot of balls. Greens were in very good condition after a tropical storm dumped some rain in the area a couple of days earlier. Staff and crew was friendly and welcoming. Pace of play was very good until we were halfway done with the second half of the back nine. I didn't let this ruin my day because the weather was very nice. Also, this allowed my group to enjoy refreshments from the beverage cart as we heading in.
Fantastic condition
The grounds crew put a lot of work into the course over the forced break due to covid-19. Upgraded cart paths, irrigation, and reseeding of the rough where carts used to be able to enter and exit the fairways. The course is in the best shape I've ever seen it in the 5 years I've been playing there.
The restaurant/bar was just completely remodeled by a new owner bringing in more options and a better interior layout.
Hidden gem
Just drove down from nyc area. Second time played it and as far as winter conditions go, enjoyed it more than ac country club and sea view which I recently played in area. No geese poop anywhere, greens and bunkers in fantastic shape. This is my new go to in south jersey .
Enerald is a gem !!!
Happy New Year !!
Chilly windy day on top of the land fill....
Was absolutely one of the most fun coarses I’ve ever played ..At $41 on golf now. Worth it
Some coarse knowledge would help , but targets for blind shots spot on .
Next time I won’t play it from the tips on a cold windy day. Will be going back
Very Challenging but Awesome Course
This course was difficult but every hole was so interesting. Each hole is designed after a golf course and hole from either Ireland or Scotland so it is a very unique experience. The starter gave a lot of good tips prior to tee off. The staff is Great. The Vagabond restaurant had great foods and 1/2 price apps. Staff there was also Great. Will definitely be back. It’s a must Golf course for your bucket list
Terrific Course
First time playing at McCullough’s and I was pleasantly surprised. The course provides unique challenges on almost every hole. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for beginners, but everybody else should definitely try it out.
