excellent target course
This was my first time playing the course although I did do a scramble which as we all know, doesn't count. It's a really. nice course with excellent true roll greens that were fast (just as I like them). You definitely need to target your shots. This is not a grip it and rip it course. you need to stay on the fairway or it will be a long day. I would play here again. We had a great time.
Hidden Gem in KC
Played this a few years back the morning of my buddies wedding. He is an assistant golf pro in East Kansas City and this was the course he wanted to play on his wedding day, so that should tell you that it's a great course. A bit of a drive depending on where you are coming from, but definitely worth it. The two nines are completely different but both in great shape. Would love to get back and play it again.
Bent grass
For this early in the season, i was very happy with the greens. The fairways were in good condition, bunkers and greens perfect. Nice carts with GPS
Best Course in KC
Factor in price, course quality, the spectacular views this is the best course in KC. The front and back nines are like two totally different courses, the front plays in the vast trees with many elevation changes, creeks and huge rock formations. The back nine is an open prairie with some rolling hills and well placed bunkers all over.
The staff is great every time i golf there. The Marshall is great, he checks your receipt and leaves you alone (as he should!).
Front 9 great, back 9 a bore
Played this course on a particularly nice sat in Feb. We were very happy with the course during the front 9, interesting layout, winding through the woods, creek on every hole, elevation changes. Once we finished the front and headed to the back 9 the course turned drastically. the back nine is a complete bore. Overall good course for the money......play the front 9 after work.
Great course
The course overall is in great condition. The front nine was a little rough around the edges. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways were in excellent condition.
It was a good challenge as I think the back nine plays a little easier than the front. The white sand bunkers are in great shape and very easy to recover from. It looks like the money being invested in improvements is making a big difference. Can't wait to see what they will do next. This is a must play
Challenging course
Challenging course with a lot of bunkers that could use some sand and not just powered dirt and pebbles. Overall a very nice course.
Good course to play!
Two different nines; links to tree-lined. Challenging, great views, good course condition, and great views of the area landscape! Will certainly play the course again when I am in the area!
Good test of golf
One of the hidden gems in the Kansas City area! The greens are generally quick but in good shape. Holes 1-7 are like an open links style course exposed to the wind with multiple traps on every hole. 8-18 cut through the woods and requires an accurate tee ball good distance control into the greens. It's a great golf experience that truly feels like two different courses. The staff is extremely friendly and pace of play is reasonable for a public course.
