Holley Brook Golf Course
About
Holley Brook Golf Course (formerly knowns as Brockport Golf Club) is ranked as the third toughest golf course in Monroe County. Opened in 1960, the course has a traditional layout that is a manageable 6,701 yards from the back tees but it certainly isn't boring. There is plenty of variety throughout the golf course with hole ranging from short to long and from flat to hilly. The layout begins with a challenging front nine that is tight and undulating, providing an opportunity to work no your wedge skills. The more spacious back nine will give you a chance to dust off your drivers. Crisp, powerful shots will be generously rewarded. The golf course finishes with a demanding par 5 known as "the Monster," which is an open hole that is completely at the mercy of the prevailing winds. There is also a heated driving range available at Holley Brook G. C.

Great value. Challenging yet fair
My first time playing this course, I will definitely be back again. You should know my 5 stars for value is because i used a "hot deal" from golfnow.com. Though there are some long and narrow fairways, but that challenge is balanced out by large easy to read greens. Greens and fairway were in excellent condition especially considering the lack of rain we've had this summer. Layout was nice with some very picturesque holes.
Good Value, tough course
Greens were fast and decepive
Some things don't change
An open layout with some twists and turns. Greens seemed very true. The fairways have seen some damage, probably from water.
The sand traps had great sand to play out of, for the northeast that is..
Good thick rough, so keep it in the middle.
The last time I played, it was a very hot day and the course had no water. Again, not as hot, but no water. Put a jug out on each side. Customers remember inconvenience.
Brockport CC / Holley Brook
Challenging course, tight fairways, and in good shape especially considering how hot / dry the weather has been as of late. Greens were fair, but that is mostly due to the fact that people have no respect and / or don't have a clue about fixing their ball marks.
*Deal through 'Golfnow' was no deal, as it would have been the same price at the course and we actually had to pay tax and reservation fee when booking through golf now. In addition the tee time was off like 15 minutes so a good thing we got there early.
Frustrating conditions
70% of the greens very sparse with bumps. Fresh mowed greens left tons of grass clumps to move. Biggest issue for me, no yardage stakes along the fairway. Concrete markers in fairway were not readily found, just gave up and guessed. Need a GPS. Hole diagrams at tee boxes not accurate, left off a creek running across the fairway on 16 out 220yd off the tee. Every green is sloped back to front and all different speeds due to their condition. One and done for me at this course. Never played a round before that I could not wait to be finished.
Great walking course.
I play this course a few times a year and with the late season walking rate this is a great deal. Nice layout with a good mix of interesting holes. The only issue is the pace of play is all over the place. Brockport begs for the use of a course ranger to ensure that people keep up an exceptable pace of play and allow faster singles/players to move along.
Dog track
Pro shop is in a trailer, driving range has no target, no cart girl, most ball washers have no towels, and yardages on this website are incorrect. It only plays 6100 from the tips.
