Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

But, theyve got Tee times
Tee boxes were chewed up, Greens were awful and sand traps have more gravel than sand in them, it seems. This course is never worth the money they charge you to play it, but.... They have tee times
Worst course on the island
What a joke..my backyard had a nicer playing conditions…figure it out pine ridge
Horrible Conditions
I'm not sure I've ever played a course in worse shape. The tees were beat up and not only were the fairways almost without grass, I don't think a fairway divot has been repaired in the last 5 years. The greens were actually OK, although they had a lot of patches of some sore of moss instead of grass.
Poor conditions
Shocking course conditions. Greens are ripped up and fairways aren’t any better. Tee boxes a mess too. Used to be such a great course. Doesn’t seem like anyone is looking after it.
What happened…
This place is probably the last built public golf course in LI and it is in the worst condition of any public golf course on LI.. Mid day on a Sunday it was a ghost town.. I have never seen so many weeds on a golf course in my life.. bunker terrible.. ground hard as a rock..the greens were the only acceptable part but a few had thess weird huge patches on them like they died and were filled in with patches that didnt grow in right.. so sad to see a golf course like this.
Course is in terrible shape, staff very nice,
Grounds were very overgrown. Traps were riddled with weeds, fairways were like Swiss cheese with divots, greens were beat up also. Terrible shape. There was trash all over the holes. Really disappointed. Was considering a membership here before going out. How ever will not be doing that. Staff was wonderful in everyone we interacted with.
Lazy 4 beginners head of me made me to break my concentrate
Now a day many new golfers visit to many golf courses.
I know how it is exiting to play golf without any practice.
Many new golfers don’t know the rules of game and attitude of manners.
While me and my partner was playing, there were 4 beginners head of us. They did not let us through them. We were only two players. I had to wait every holes until they finished. They drove all around place even though near the greens. There were no rangers to control those phenomena. Horrible day!!
Anyhow the golf course should spray something on the woods to kill mosquitoes. Mosquitoes sting all my naked arms and legs a lot. If you want to play here, you have to carry bug’s spray. All condition of maintenance was excellent and greens were nice cutting grass and fast as glass.
Conditions improving but more needs to be done
I have avoided this course the last few years due to the many reviews about the deteriorating conditions of the course but read a few recent reviews saying things were getting better under new ownership so I gave it a try. I’ve always enjoyed this course layout and although it looks like they are trying to get the course in shape, more needs to be done. Fairways and greens were inconsistent with several areas under repair or simply burnt out. The greens did roll well and the bunkers had great sand in them. I appreciate the fact that the round was priced fairly for the conditions. I can only hope things will continue to improve. I will return.
Excellent course!
I am a regular player at Pine Ridge GC and it never ceases to amaze me the great conditions and the friendly staff on hand.
Mid July Treat
The course is in top-notch condition right now! It was such a pleasure! Kudos to Ray and the staff at Pine Ridge!
Nice cost
Nice course, a little pricey.. It was in great shape and we got done in 4 hours...
Fix this course
The layout is amazing! However the conditions and price are not.
It’s a shame too because this place could be absolutely amazing with some hard work. Please fix this course up. Please!
