Nice layout
Played the course with a discount coupon, but regular price is not out of line with the quality of the course. Very impressed with the conditions, with the dry summer we've had. Many challenging holes with left and right doglegs, and deep bunkers.
Basic Course
This course to me is pretty boring. Not much terrain at all, side by side par 4's. pretty wide open. nothing too exciting here. I do like the maintenance of this course though and houses around it make it nice too.
Great value
I have played here since it opened. The course has gotten better and better. Used to be wide open and somewhat easy. But now has some tight fairways and is very challenging. The course is always in great condition, comparable to most private clubs at a fraction of the cost. Also has a nice pro shop with anything you could need and they don't rip you on the prices.
Not worth the aggravation
When the number of casual golfers continues to decline in an area where you can be on one of many golf courses in a matter of minutes from your front door, Eagle Vale staff continues to do everything they can to alienate whatever remaining customers they have left. It's priced a little to high for the value and similar courses in the area but that's not even the major complaint. It's a nice course and well maintained but I cringe when someone suggests playing there.
Hard course, high prices
This pro shop will make you pull out your wallet more than other places in the area. this is a %100 public golf course and we still payed $36 per player for walking 18 that day. but the beautiful 1st hole scenic view and good conditions will make you forget about what you payed. the course length of this course is the real problem here for unskilled golfers making you hit every shot perfect most importantly your drives with the length. the pace is OK for this course you get done probably in 4 hours just be prepared for a longer wait than I experienced. and also if you can bring a drink do it, beverage cart prices are outrageous here too.
Nothing Exciting
My husband and I found the course to be okay, BUT THE STAFF WAS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONLAL AND THE FOOD WAS HORRID.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Prime rib at the Argyl Grill is absolute garbage. Tough and inconsistence in size and quality between our two cuts.
Again, we came incontact with MORE RUDE STAFF.
Stay away
Poor Staff Drags this Course Down
This course has a lot going for it. Great location, great food, nice layout and reasonable facilities.
The course has nice greens and a lot of doglegs to challenge your ability to move the ball. Some of the fairways are very tight and there is a lot of out of bounds to punish you for being wild. All both fun and frustrating!
I have never been to a course where the staff is so rude. I hoped that my first few experiences there were a fluke and I have gone back and played there with the same results. The last experience, I was actually chased down on the course by one of the pro shop staff and accused of not paying. When I produced my receipt they accused me of picking it out of the trash and escorted me into the proshop with my credit card to verify that it was in their system. Not once did I get an apology for this and my wife and I promptly left the course. I can't imagine going back again unless it is free.
