North Inch
Play this course regularly on a pay for play basis normally for a discounted rate as I am a Senior Citizen. No discount at the moment I think because of lost revenue during the first few months of the Coronavirus Epidemic which is understandable,so to get a bargain price from Golf Now was a bonus, thanks for that.
Simply brilliant
Do not be put off by the fact that you have to park on a sports centre car park and walk across a rugby field to a starter hut. The welcome was second to none. The first 3 holes we a bit up and dow , but after that some fantastic holes, great par 3s with great views. Course well kept, fairways good greens good but slow after top dressing. Hidden gem if you are up this way to play.
Day out
picked this course as was told beforehand if in perth you must play the inches.
Great on line price. When arrived 1st thoughts were not too good. 1st three holes are pretty ordinary , 3 par 4s straightforward down back up then back down. Pretty basic, then through wall to the 4th , great experience, some great holes.
Will be going back. Great wee course.
Not what I expected
The photos were misleading. It shows a photo of the 15th hole which along with the 16th are the only two holes which are genuinely picturesque being by the River Tay. The first three holes and the 18th have members of the public allowed to Criss Cross all over the course which they do. At the first green a dog ran straight in front of the green and then onto it. On the third tee a person who wasn't playing golf ambled across the course preventing me from playing my tee shot for a few minutes. The course improves a lot from holes 4-17 as they feel more private. There is no clubhouse whatsoever just a starters hut. The plus side was the pro was extremely helpful and friendly. I also teamed up with two members who invited me to play with them part way round and they were very amiable. I must say I was expecting a more traditional members course in a remote Scottish location as it looks like from the map it was well outside of Perth when in fact it is very busy with all sorts of activities and sports surrounding the course with loads of access for members of the public to cross through and around the course. That said the, pro and the members made it a more enjoyable experience. This is not a course for someone looking for a traditional Scottish clubhouse and course in a remote location.
Good day in perth
Played north inch for the first time on Saturday. Enjoyed the course, although didn't always know where the next hole was.
Players were friendly course played well
Would play again.
North Inch
Had been lots of rain, and one hole was waterlogged but playable. Great fun, great price. Greens in excellent condition.
Quirky course
Thoroughly enjoyed my first ever round on this course and coupled with a hot deal it was definitely VFM. The course was in great nick and enjoyed the quirky dog leg holes and it was nice to leave the big dog in the bag and pull out hybrids or long irons to play for position. Overall will come back and play it again as we all enjoyed it. Shot a scratch 76 off (12) for a nett 64 (-4) whereas my son (6)shot a +2 70 also for a nett 64.
Free clubs and Trolley!
Tight little riverside course with the friendliest welcome and free clubs thrown in. If you haven't packed your clubs don't miss this course in Perth by the beautiful River Tay
Picked a bad time
Unfortunately there was a lot of course maintenance on the go when I played, a lot of the greens were out of order and the pin was just stuck in at the front of the green
eckys review
hello i played this course on the 15thsept iwas surprised to realise that most of the course was flatter than the other golf course i play at good day out though and reccomend course to any budding golfers out there igot 93 which is sort of average for me iwould play there again another time cos i like flat courses not many around
Fine course by River Tay.
This a fine parkland golf couse in a beautiful setting on the banks of the river Tay.
It is a public course and is well maintained - greens were excellent. Only real negative was that the sand in some bunkers was in need a good rake.
Relativly short (5185yds off yellow tees), the course has an interesting and fairly challenging layout.
No off course amenities available but it's next to Bells Sports Centre and Black Watch Museum both of which have cafes and parking.
Good all round course
Nice course well laid out and generally quite forgiving for novices.
The course in general has a tranquil feel to it.
Great setting
Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and stunning views along the banks of the river Tay.
Good course
North Inch was a lot better than I thought it might be. We got a beautiful day and an untroubled round wth no hold ups. What could have been better? Well maybe the 19th of September was a bit early for the greens to have been heavily tined and top dressed. Increasingly inland courses are becoming precious about their greens and probably inland courses only have 4 to 5 months of acceptable playing conditions. Maybe I am lucky in being a Dunbar member where greens are near perfect for 12 months a year.
Still Tuesday was a good day on a nice course with staff who are friendly and helpful.
Flat course
Playing in a public park with greens. The greens had just been cored which is never good for playing on. The fairways were not cut short enough No signage between holes. No clubhouse and parking at the local Bells Fitness Centre was difficult due to it's popularity. 50p charge for parking. A good course for beginners or a gentle stroll for elderly players. Staff very helpful.
Excellent value for money on good course in excellent condition
Course was in excellent condition as usual on a nice sunny morning. Staff very friendly and I'll be back next week weather permitting!
Very well kept
The greens were great even though the weeks before have been very hot with little rain. Very helpful gentleman in the starter box gave lots of course info that helps our first round efforts.
Would return again
