The Trump Turnberry Hotel offers two golf courses right on the coast and with a well-known lighthouse as part of the view All levels of golfer can take on the hotel's two golf courses.

The King Robert the Bruce Course at the Trump Turnberry Hotel (formerly known as Trump Turnberry Resort - Kintyre Course) builds upon the many tests that were designed into the well-known old Arran course, and offers exhilarating links golf, with greens that undulate, fairways that provide a pretty trip to them, and beautiful holes.

Take in the view atop Bain's Hill, for example, after a quick climb from the seventh green, and marvel at how the added elevation extend the vista in every direction, then take your shot - the golfers behind you are waiting. Savor that eighth hole, though: it's the golf course's signature, with its drive from the elevated tee almost to the sea and a memorable second shot blind to a green in a gully near the rocks. Follow this with a thrill-packed coastal second shot on the ninth hole.

Course condition was great considering the time of year. Ended up going round with a caddie between 2 of us which was a great experience his knowledge of the course made a massive difference to our games.

Stunning day on the Ayrshire coast

This is agonisingly close to legendary golfing land, therefore the setting is very impressive. Although, this is majority more of a parkland feel to it, further inland, there are a few holes around the turn that are exceptional and worthy of being a part of the big course. Very enjoyable all round, although if you go offline, forget it - gorse bushes everywhere!

Great changes to Kintyre course

Played a two ball here on Friday. The changes made are certainly for the better.I didn’t play well, nothing to do with course though.Greens were excellent especially for January.Fairways we’re pretty dry although we had the odd mud ball,we just played preferred lies to help with this.Only reason course condition got 4 stars and not 5 was down to a few holes were off forward tees with some bunkers under repair. First hole only played 380 yards instead of being closer to 500 yds par 5.Still a great day and look forward to arranging a game on full course in the summer..

Fantastic setting and superb facilities

For winter golf in Scotland this is hard to beat. The course is in great condition for January with superb greens and no need for fairway mats.
The course layout has improved massively with the recent changes, particularly the new 9th hole and overall is an excellent test for your game.
Ordinarily I would rate the course as 5 star excellent but on this occasion would drop half a star simply because many of the bunkers were classed as GUR

As good as the Ailsa....?

Beautiful course, and dare I say it, better than the Ailsa. Less forgiving, and watch out for the gorse. But beautiful layout, and throughly challenging and rewarding course.

Excellent course

Course is excellent. Value for money compared to the Ailsa you really cannot complain too much. I am not saying it is cheap by any means but for what you and comparison to Ailsa. At times you really cannot tell the difference. Unsurprisingly, it is by far the most ‘American Style’ golf resort I have played in Scotland. If you are looking for authentic scottish links the resort my not be the place. But the course is fantastic.
