Great course.

I loved it. I did shoot about 5/6 extra shots due to the greens been almost unplayable in areas with huge lumps of sand but I get this needs to happen every so often. Still playing off mats which baffles me, ill come back in the summer for sure

Excellent.

I booked Balmore last minute and I'm very glad I did, considering the weather we've had over the last week - the course was in excellent condition.
The Club Pro was extremely welcoming and gave me a few pointers about the layout of the course.
I was genuinely the only person on the course playing at 11am so cannot comment on pace of play.
Winter tees, greens and cups but I fully expected that so no gripes from me.
All in all an excellent experience and I will definitely be back in the spring. 10/10.

Beautiful and surprisingly challenging

Lived my first visit to Balmore GC - immaculate greens and a challenging round, with course management a must to make it.

JT

Played on Tuesday morning . Four ball in front of us . Pace of play ahead was great , not so much behind us . Ball narrowly missed us on several occasions. Apology accepted . Other than that , a great course greens waiting on being cut . Kind of expected that . We will be back I love this course .

Great course in bad winter weather

I love Balmore. A course that welcomes the nomad golfer, a challenging varied golf course without being crazy long. It's quirky, the layout messes with you, it's an endless puzzle and you can only appreciate it after playing it a few times.

We played on a wet February morning, some of the ground was soft and slippy. The summer greens were on but it was February so don't expect too much. A great morning out and because of the price we didn't feel bad finishing a few holes early because we were soaked through! Love it and will be back

Hi, unfortunately the day we had booked to play your course it was closed due to weather conditions 29/12/21. I have since been unsuccessful in getting a refund as we booked through the GolfNow app. Would it be possible to honour our booking at another convenient time as it would be a great shame to miss out on playing such a beautiful course.

Yours sincerely

Darren.

Terrible comditions

After trying call Balmore Golf club, to find out if course was open after the snow, we turned up to find there was no one about, with Pro shop closed and no food to be served, headed over to. Tee off to be told all greens wee winter ones,by a green keeper whom had just appeared,, sonas had no pre paid had no other choice to tee off or walk off lose money, the winter greens were not even cleared of snow or other leaves etc, they wee on slopes which was impossible to even try use a putter, walked off after 4 holes as tbh a dont know the course in this condition was open, had looked fowRd to this round, but with weather at 0degrees and snow all on temp greens and fairways felt was wrong decision to open course, was waste of time and had paid £80 for a fourball on a course were saw 2 women who also walked off after few holes was really disappointed

Lovely wee course

Really nice course, short but don't be fooled thinking it's easy, need to place your tee shots well and par 3,s(six of them) all require accurate shots, looking forward to playing during summer, definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful Course

This is an absolutely stunning course, very well kept and a great layout. The par 3s in particular are a highlight.
Dont be fooled by the yardage and lower par score, this is a tricky course with lots of well placed bunkers and a challenge even for longer hitters when the wind is howling.

Brilliant Balmore

2nd time playing here in the last two weeks through Golfnow and second time was just as good as the first. Despite the heavy overnight rain the course held up well where others nearby were closing for the day. A great course with a good
Selection of par 3s and 4s that make you want to go back round again as soon as your finished and very friendly welcoming staff . Looking forward to going back again and maybe bettering my score someday soon . A course /club I could join without much persuasion

Glasgow’s hidden gem

We booked two times with golf now today, this is a superb well kept golf course, staff very friendly and catering very attentive to our requirements, easy walk under 6000 yards, green quick and true, I would recommend Balmore to any society looking for a great days golf.

Good course

Very enjoyable round of golf, a bit on the expensive side, excellent course conditions. One thing I didn’t like much was the fact that 2 holes required you to give priority to others playing across the fairway that you are on.
