Reviews
Great green approaches
Really interesting holes with ravines and a variety of challenges
A little bit disappointed
Too many blind shots & too hilly for me with the layout a bit confusing at times. Nice views & people on the course very friendly.
10/10 greens
Blown away by the great condition of this course. Some great holes although the lay out confused us a bit but thats my only fault and even at that it was a minor inconvenience. The greens were spectacular and a lot of credit should go to the green keeping staff. Will definitely be back
Nice course
Nice course, challenging and lots of blind holes, they layout of 16th hole was slightly confusing, but overall a good track.
Good overall
First time playing this course, overall it was good. Quite a few blind holes which was tricky but once you play it you’ll know the line etc. Strange last 3 holes 16 should be 18 as next to clubhouse you then play away again for 17 and 18 finishes at the car park , overall I would recommend it
Quirky and very enjoyable course.
I was a bit apprehensive when I saw reviews about blind shots as I'm not normally a fan. However I embraced the blind shots and thoroughly enjoyed the course which was equal parts quirky and interesting. A lovely setting for a course which was presented in great conditions.weather was great which always helps in Scotland and the course was very firm. Staff at the clubhouse could not have been any nicer. The clubhouse/bar has obviously recently been refurbished and was very nice indeed. The only sore point was a group of members who despite numerous opportunities fail to let us play through but I wasn't about to let it ruin my day.. Will definitely be back.
Greens are immaculate
One of the best courses I have played, but at the same time a challenging course which I enjoyed. Every hole brought a different challenge. The greens were in immaculate condition.
Very good
Had a great day course very well maintained no rush nobody closely in front and nobody closely behind so go at our own pace.I've been playing for a long time (40yrs)and it's the first time course manager has came to me and asked a few questions what we thought about course etc nice touch will be back
Old Ranfurly Golf Course
Excellent course. I would go as far as to say that it is the best course that I have played
Davy c
Arrived & no professional shop so girl behind the bar let me in & gave me all the details
Course was nice & well laid out
As someone said before some more bells neede as a lot of blind shots
Quirky and Enjoyable
My party of 8 were welcomed warmly on arrival and hosted impeccably after our round. The course was excellent and everyone within the group loved the experience, would recommend this club to all well done OCRGC
Great course
First time I have played.
Initial thing is finding the course, follow the sat nav and believe it when instructed to turn right into what looks like the driveway to a house
This is a great wee course with some interesting holes and challenges.
The course was in great condition and pace was fine , no hold ups and we had a four ball in front.
Watch out for the 15th, 16th and 17th , they all have interesting quirks about them.
Due to covid there was limited access to the clubhouse but we managed a coffee and the best chocolate shortbread tasted. Staff were all very helpful and pleasant.
Watchout for the 16th and 17th holes
I thoroughly enjoyed this course, stunning condition and a real variety of hole styles. Quite a number of blind shots so course would benefit from more bells than metal tubes, we got caught out missing a few for the players behind.
Lovely views and layouts around the course and wildlife with canadian geese , nice touch.
Now watch for the 16th par 3 up and over then dont get caught out at the 17th with the concealed ravine,
Definitely a course to visit.
Crow Wood is improving
I have played this course many times and on this occasion it seems to have improved. Greens were in reasonable condition considering very early in the season.
I will look to visit again
Some great holes and the scenery was amazing
From the very first moment I got there the staff was excellent and very friendly the tee off times were excellent the the members along the course were very friendly and informative after the round we decided to get summit to each which was amazing washed down with a couple of guniness throughly enjoyed my day out and will defo be back
