Great course, a lot of hills.
Had a great time on the course. Only 1 winter green but the greens were in superb condition for this time of year compared to a lot of other courses. Fairway in great condition as mats are used so make sure to bring one.
The course is very hilly which is by no means a bad thing just make sure you aren't carrying loads of things you don't need. It also means there's a few times I felt like I was hitting the ball blind over the hill so might be ideal to play with someone who has played the course before.
Also, on the 13th it opens up a lot more on the right that you think. Staff were also great help when I spoke to them.
Like the layout. Good condition for the time of year.
Good layout and easy walk. In good condition considering the amount of rain in the preceding days. No winter greens and greens all playing well.
Let through by a group and played behind a four ball, but pace was ok.
Enjoy
The course was in fantastic condition after the dry spell of weather. The greens were in top condition. Highly recommend playing this course great day out.
A fair day's play
Overall the course was in good condition considering the lack of rain over the past month or so. However, play was extremely slow and my playing partner and I had to wait at a number of holes. Professional was courteous when we arrived to check in. Afterwards we had a nice meal in the relaxing clubhouse.
This course has most things
Lovely day out, nice bacon roll and coffee on arrival, lovely welcome from the pro shop with course explanation, course well prepared and looked after.
Lovely pint and chicken salad on the balcony to round off the Elderslie experience.
Elderslie
This was my first time playing the course and i was very impressed. The course was in excellent condition and the staff in shop were very helpful and informative. I was however disappointed by the catering and service in lounge area. Club was'nt that busy yet it took some time for the lady to take my order whilst she read the newspaper? Food not too good with poor presentation. Also a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the lounge which was quite unpleasant. Lovely clubhouse with a great view onto course.
Slope estimate
The Golf Now description of this course gives a rating of 62 and a slope of 110. This course is considerably more difficult than these metics indicate. The Elderslie score card gives a rating of 70 for the white tees and 69 for the yellow tees. The slope is likely to be over 120, as the rating and slope are highly correlated.
Elderslie golf course
I played the course on a lovely, sunny day and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was in very good condition and the pace of play was good. I'm not a very big hitter but could reach all of the par 4 holes in 2 shots. Although the course is not too demanding it is quite scenic and also fairly hilly around the turn. Well worth a visit.
great value for money
This course was in great condition even on a not so nice day,it is a beautifuly scenic course and has a varied level of challenging holes, would definitely return to the course again as it was well worth the money we paid.
