Helensburgh Golf Club
About
Helensburgh Golf Club was founded in August 1893 as a nine-hole layout. By 1905, the golf course had been extended to 18 holes. In the 1920s, James Braid devised many changes, some of which are still in place today.
Nestled on the shore of the Clyde River, Helensburgh is easily accessible, only 23 miles north west of Glasgow. The golf course is situated above the town, with fine views over the Clyde estuary to the west and Loch Lomond to the east.
The par-69 golf course is 6,104 yards long. Helensburgh Golf Club's 175-yard third hole is considered the signature hole, with out-of-bounds on the left, woods beyond and a pond in the front of the green, which slopes from back to front and helps stop the ball.

Very pleasant afternoon
Staff helpful, greens in a good state, layout not excellent if you have never visited before, I never used the clubhouse so I cannot comment on the facilitys i will par take in a couple of pints on my next visit. Overall good value for money if you get the hot deal which I always do.

Chris
Beautiful course
Booked Helensburgh spur of the moment and glad I did. Beautiful course with really well tended greens. Some tricky little holes for a first time visitor. Really friendly staff and members. Incredible views. Overall 4.5.

Great Situation
Lovely course on a beautiful day, amazing views of the Clyde & Loch Lomond. Ground conditions a bit wet in parts. Worth a visit!
Very friendly members and pro.
Paid a very reasonable £18 for a round, arrived an hour before my pre-booked tee time but was given an earlier time by the pro.
As I am novice golfer the advice on the course was greatly appreciated.
Thankfully I had picked a beautiful crisp October morning to play Helensburgh and the views over The Clyde made a stunning backdrop to a wonderful day.
