Wet! Wet! Wet!

Course should have been closed. Drives plugging in the fairway so badly we had to dig them out with our divot tools. Approach shots sinking into greens. Putts bumping all over the place through the footprints. We caught up with the group who teed off 20mins ahead of us at the 5th. Group ahead of them slowing them down. They eventually played through but refused to do so for us. I’m all for growing the game but people need to learn the rules & etiquette. 4 hours for a 2 ball is ridiculous!

Too long and confusing

Didn’t like this course too long and confusing and long walk between tees etc. Rough was heavy and lost so many balls. Needs a bit of decent grounds maintenance. Could be nice but just i isn’t

Dougalston GC

Played on a wet, blustery and cold March day. Apart from a couple of poor holes, really enjoyed this course. Will obviously play better once the weather improves. Great value at £10.

Good course in good condition. Back 9 is a good challenge as a few of the holes are very tight. Greens were spot on for the time off year. Cant beat the value. £12 for a Saturday morning

Great layout and upkeep

Brilliant upkeep and a fast round of 18 for a speedy golfer. Staff are really helpful if your a 1st timer. Few dog walkers but overall great course.

Great Round

Really enjoyed this course, good variety of holes, course well maintained. Reduced fee of £15 as the greens had recently been hollow tined and top dressed so we’re running pretty slow, but for the price it was a real bargain. Would like to try here again in the summer.

Greens were in decent condition but apart from that, I wouldn't say a round of golf on this course is value for money. Paying £33 a round is to steep.

Tough course

Greens in excellent condition. Course generally in excellent condition. Very quiet - saw only two or three other golfers out on the course, surprising for a Friday morning. I am a high handicap golfer and I found it to be a tough course. Lots of long par four holes, many with a canyon of trees on either side of the tee area, allowing little room for error. Even the par three holes seem rather long, offering little respite for golfers of my standard. Perhaps more a course for mid handicappers or low handicappers. There were four of us and our round took four and a half hours. We were not held up at any point and I don’t think we were playing slowly; it’s just a long course, with lots of walking between some of the holes.

Poor day

Pace of play was painfully slow , also people just playing whatever holes they wanted , stuck behind 3 4 balls and 3 ball , ended up having to just walk off the course 12 holes in as we had already been out for 3 hours , wouldn’t recommend to anyone , not worth the money , all be it the staff at pro shop are great

A great round of golf

Ignore the other reviews this course is a very good round of golf. It has some excellent holes - I really enjoyed the high tees down to the low greens. The course map on the back of the scorecards is very good and easy to follow. The staff are extremely friendly and I will definitely be back.
