Too pricey, slow play
Nice course but too pricey. It may be similar to other courses in the area but they all are 20-30% higher than a similar course in the central or southern part of the state.
9 hole players seem to only go off the front so pace gets bogged down. This makes no sense as it is irritating for all and beats up your front nine.
Great Day
The course was a real treat. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. The fairways were in great shape but a little damp-very little roll. It had rained the day before and they had dew on them. What a well-maintained course. It was really close to private country club conditions.

winter kill very bad
every green had some if not a lot of winter kill on them.look like no attemp to repair them. Played in the afternoon the pro shop lady not very friendly. the first time ever on golf coursehad to have carts in at 730 pm with a good hour and 20 minutes left of daylight. could then go back and finish the round by walking.drive then walk back out to the hole you were on. really!!!!

great layout - tight course that requires accuracy off the tee on several holes. Greens and fairways were in excellent shape. No restaurant open until 4PM but the have a half way house and a beverage cart. There is a driving range at the course with about 10 - 12 hitting areas.
A real gem
One of the best courses in the northland. Very scenic. Challenging, but fair. Greens are very fast with plenty of undulations. Looking forward to playing it again.
Anniversary Party
7 people celebrating our anniversary. All loved the course .
overpriced
Set up a tee time for 3 in the afternoon for 18 holes with cart online for $162. When we got there I told the person in the clubhouse that we could only shoot 9 holes. The price for 9 holes with cart was now $146. When I questioned him about the price, I told him that for 18 with cart it was going to be $162 from booking online. He told me that that was without cart. When I showed him my email confirmation showing the price with cart he told me that it was wrong. I would have gone back to trout lake and pay much less but just wanted to golf. Will not go back at these prices again. For the money, Trout Lake golf course is a better value for golfing.
