Troon Links - Fullarton
About
The Troon Links - Fullarton sits just minutes from Royal Troon Golf Club's links and comes in at a relatively short 5,000 yards, making it appropriate for newer golfers or a quick warm-up.
The Troon Links - Fullarton is uplands links and features narrow fairways that undulate and are guarded by heather and gorse. The long hole comes first, measuring 434 yards, and six par-3 holes require precision rather than power.
Many golfers golf the Troon Municpal Fullarton Course in tandem with Lochgreen or Darley. Others, such as women and short-gamers, choose just these 18 holes.

Great Value
Great value for money. Got lost looking for the 2nd tee but having never played here before that’s probably my fault
Course navigation
It’s very difficult to know what hole your on as know numbers. There is no directions from green to tees on the odd occasion it’s required and I think there should be a small tee box with yardage etc. Particularly in the longer 2 courses at Troon.
It would make a massive difference and more enjoyable.
The Fullarton
Course was in outstanding condition. Myself and 3 friends decided to make the best of a Sunday morning and headed down to Troon for the day for our first fourball since lockdown.
Having played Lochgreen and Darley, this one copletes the Troon Links for me and it was a great round of golf, well kept, dry and even the rough was playable for the majority.
As a par 66 and a short course in comparison to the others I’ve managed to hit my best ever scoring round along with 2 of my mates.
Couple of things to note - better signage of the course when on course was limited. As per COVID-19 there are no scorecards being handed out or access to the internal Troon site. Toilets included.
Be back next weekend.
Great beginners course still challenging
Had a great outing today. Course was in fantastic condition. Pace of play was good as well didn’t feel under any pressure. I have read reviews saying its difficult to find where to Tee off but this is nonsense. Also the greens are clearly marked with blue flags. Plenty of birdie opportunities on this course for those short on confidence. My friend & I both agreed the greens were outstanding on this course. Roll shop across the road to grab a tea or coffee before/after playing as well. Staff very welcoming as well. Well worth the money for such a lovely course. Great find.
Great coastal course.
Always a pleasure to play this course. Very well looked after for a municipal course. My only grouse can be the amount of dog walkers.
Fair Links
This is the most 'friendly' of the municipal Troon courses. It is naturally flat, not too long and in reasonable condition. A good course for those not too used to links!'
Excellent for beginner's
First time playing here. Great for inland linx course and not too far a walk round..Only 3hrs to go round and greens in great condition. Definitely play here again. .
Disappointing
I know this course well, but even this early in the season it was disappointing. One winter green and bare fairways, from which it was difficult to get a shot away cleanly. It will be a while before I return.
Excellent
Played in Jan/ Loved in Jan. All positive. Just play it.
Troon Fullarton
Inland links course. Found the course to be in excellent condition, especially the greens. Not too long at 4500 yards but good variety of holes and gorse provide a challenge. Will definitely play again.
Fun at the Fullarton
This is an ideal course to build confidence on links as it isnt too long.
Myriad of differing holes makes it always interesting, easy to walk, great greens, can still punish wayward shots though.
Good fun and would recommend to anyone as way to spend a morning.
Glendaruel
Good course layout, level, fine for a game with my wife.
Easy to book online.
Parking at the course.
The club house has been revamped, food and service very good.
Junior section seems to be thriving, good for the future of golf
Sunny april
Great weather, course in great condition, brilliant day
Great staff, good course, greens could be better
Visited today and was impressed by the very friendly staff both at reception and in the cafe area. Amenities are ideal.
Course was great although greens weren't the best - a combination of time of year but a strange groove in a few of the greens too.
Great fun to play
Excellent course for players of all ability. For lower handicappers a chance to go for it on the shorter par 4's and to hone your short game. For higher handicappers and even younger players it's a decent test that gives you a chance to play well and enjoy a few highlights in your round. Course in good nick and greens excellent.
