Top Course!

I've played Galgorm a number of times now and I'm always impressed but this time it was superb. For early October (actually, for any time of year) the course was in brilliant condition and the round was very enjoyable. I would highly recommend it!

Great parkland course

Set in the Calgorm castle grounds this course has been well designed utilising the large river which runs through it. A very enjoyable course.

Excellent Day at Galgorm

Great day out at Galgorm. A spell of warm weather had really helped the greens come on and the course was in great condition. Thoroughly enjoyable and will be back again hopefully soon! Some very challenging holes!

Enjoyed it but didn't get the heart racing.

After a lot of rain the course held up well. Greens were excellent considering. Pace of play was slow I got stuck behind 4 sets of 4 balls, but hey gives me more time to practice my swing. Nice to see a course busy. Look out for bargains like on Golfnow as the £50 regular green fee isn't really justified. For this is all fur coat no knickers. Well maintained course great club house pro shop and range but the I personally find the course a little dull(for the price). In north Antrim we have a great choice of great courses and are a little spoiled. Ballycastle and Gracehill are better courses to me (if only they were a little better kept). However Galgorm is 10 times the course it's neighbour Ballymena Golf club is. Which for visitors charge a similar price as they have no special deals.

A challenging course

For £8 per person the value was excellent and at an 11.04 tee off time it was a great time of the day to be playing. Unfortunately the weather was not as favourable and the wait between each hole was too long due to slow play of various groups in front. Course condition was average, greens where not in great condition, fairways on a lot of holes where under blue stakes so had to be placed to the side when landing on fairway.

At the 10th hole the wee shop for a beer and hot dog was welcome as always, was a nice wee touch. Overall great value for money, was very busy, (slow play which affected concentration) and weather was not ideal. Was a bad day at the office for my own round as is a challenging course, especially for those with a slice off the drive.

I would recommend this course though only if getting a good deal on the round.

Great Course

Played in freezing wet January but it was great. Course played great and for the time of the year the greens were in great condition.
