Fun course
A couple bad spots on 2 greens but overall they were in exelent shape. fairways are good and not mowed so close it is dificult for ametuers. Just me and my wife and we finished in about 3 hours and never had a wait.
Great course .fairways are the best. The staff and owners treat you just like family

Plays nice
The course is really good., nice layout, greens and fairways in real good condition for this time of year. Only problem was the lack of staff, (marshal) to keep players moving along. The foursome in front of us were more interested in sitting in their carts and talking than playing golf. When we were on 15, they were on 16 the group in front of them were finished. Keep people moving and you got a great course.

This course is on a scale of 10 about a 6/ 1/2 for challenge and interesting golf holes. The first few holes are rather mundane but the holes from 7 on are really pretty good, better than average for the $$ value. Back nine certainly the better side.
Driving range area was in poor condition, tee / practice area needed mowing and range was poor ly marked for yardage.
Biggest concern overall was the condition of the greens. Some of the greens had barely any grass, bare dirt in a few places, back nine greens better shape. Looks like they needed treatment and water. With all the lakes around the course, watering should not be an issue.
I will try the course again, really not a bad track, just needs some TLC .
good value for the average golfer
course does not play overly long (4 tee blocks to a maximum of just over 6000 yds. Fairways in good shape but a number of greens need work. Have played River Greens 4 or 5 times and always feel that I get my monies worth.
This course is a good course to play if you are traveling from Orlando to Ft. Myers.
Had a great time playing this course! The 7,8, and 9th holes are very interesting with the ninth wrapping around a lake. I have played the original River Greens in Ohio which I also recommend.
Wonderful quiet course
This is a rare little course.... it starts out nice and quiet, you go along hole after hole until all of a sudden you realize each hole builds on the one before and it is getting longer, and more challenging.... I rate the holes 11 to 18 as one of the finest stretch in central Florida. Number nine is a par 5 that goes nearly around a small lake with a short green 482 yards and a long green 557 yards.
Set just East of Hwy27 South just north of Avon Park.... very well maintained with quite tricky greens... Very good grill room...
