Awesome course
This might be my new favorite golf course. Great layout, course is in awesome shape and the greens were good as well. Worth the price.
Greens in good shape
Course conditions were good, greens were fast and true. Staff in clubhouse was not very friendly, and the pace of play was horribly slow for a Tuesday morning. Only played 9 holes and it took an hour and fifteen minutes to finish the last 3 holes.

Predictably Stellar
Making the trip from Buckhead (55 mins) is worth the effort. Bunkers raked, greens are among the best in the city and the staff is helpful, courteous and abundant. Played 36 holes and the pace was pretty good considering the Holiday and Member event in the morning. Course challenges and rewards - most doglegs can be cut or carried from the tee. The greens play firm and accurate.

Beautiful golf course
This was my first time playing the Georgia Club and I was not disappointed. The course was in outstanding shape and the greens were very quick. We played the Red/Black 9's so I can't comment on the Silver 9 but it appeared to be just as good. Even though I played probably my worst round of the year so far we really enjoyed the course. Most of the tee shots require some accurate shot shaping since almost everything has a dogleg in it. Challenging course for a variety of skill levels.

Absolute Gem
The course is in great condition. Greens are smooth and everything else from the bunkers to tee-boxes are in good shape. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. The Georgia Club is a Must Play

Golf haven
Course was in great shape, we ended up playing an extra 9 and we had a blast. The weather was perfect and the course was better. We're now gonna be measuring other courses by their standard. Really just a wonderful day, looking forward to going back!

Very Nice Experience
As a first time visitor to play The Georgia Club I was very impressed with the condition of the course. My son and I were paired up with another twosome and enjoyed the day. I am a senior so I played the green tees while the others played the silver tees. I could have used a few more yards off the tee than available in regards to the distance between tees but overall was a very challenging day of golf. I will go back to see if I can improve having now played 2 of the 3 nines.

Silver linings
i titled my review "Silver Linings" because in any other economy this course and facility would surely be totally private, and I would not have the option of playing such a great course, without playing as a guest or paying a large membership fee. The staff members always treat you as if you are a member and the overall operations are what a true country club experience should be. The standards of player dress and behavior, that are valued by golf purists, are observed here without pretentiousness or stuffiness. I should also mention that the course itself is outstanding. All 27 holes are individual tests and each has a character all its own. The Athens area is blessed with a number of outstanding courses and this may be the best. Certainly in my overall rankings, course, staff, facilities, F&B, etc., this is my number one.

Good Friday
Played on Good Friday and the pace was great despite the high volume of people playing. Entire course from the range to the club house were in immaculate condition. Very friendly staff that were extremely attentive. Cannot wait to play here's u more time this year.

Great course, longest day ever
First time playing here, course and facilities are amazing. Treat you well from the parking lot to the tee box. However, they sent me off as a single wedged between several foursomes. Stuck behind the ladies group and took over 2.5 hours to play 9 holes. Do us all a favor and close the course till they are done. No reason they should take that long to play nine.

GREAT COURSE
The course is a excellent layout. But the day we played was wet and cart path only. Didn't help that we played from the tips. Course features long par 5s. None is reachable in two. Except for the very short par 3 number 2, the other par 3 3s are all longer than 190 yards.
Not a lot of force carries. On several holes the lake comes into play.

great golf course,great staff BUT no notice of the aeration of the greens. Cost of play should be reduced. very disappointing.

Winter golf - great track
I have had the pleasure of playing The Georgia Club a few times. The staff is always great - everyone encountered was friendly and helpful. The greens were in very good condition - a little soft as expected a couple of days after rain - they were fairly fast and rolled true. The fairways are dormant - as are most this time of year.
If you haven't played this course - treat yourself - esp once the fairways green up.
