Fine For What It Is
Played on a Friday afternoon as a twosome. Staff was friendly & course/maintenance personnel were courteous to players.
Not a terribly long course, but an interesting layout and challenging enough for the average player.
I could see that this was probably a great place to play when it was a country club, but the current course condition is rather horrendous; the greens in particular were some of the worst I've seen in the 40 years I've been playing. Having said that, we paid about $15 online with cart, and for that price I would recommend this as a quick round to take in if you're in the area and just want to get out and knock around some balls.
Greatly Improved
I played this course many times over a decade. I can say the course is much improved from the last few years. Fairways are noticeably cleaner and distinct. The greens are coming in very nicely. The course is in very good shape. I enjoy walking and riding. The addition of a deep-walled bunker on #13 Par 3 is quite the challenge!
Excellent product for the price
Not a long course but challenging for all level of golfer.
Lots of fun and even on a Sat. you get around in less than 4 hours.
Very Nice Course
Very nice course. Greens have been improving and are now in pretty good condition. Fairways are very good.
Fun Course
Love this course. Very challenging for women. The staff is very friendly. The fairways were beautiful. Some of the greens were great, some were not. I love golfing at this course.
Friendly staff, great value
The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. Course is not perfect, but great for the price . Would recommend giving a shot.
Great Time
Had a great time, course staff were friendly and helpful. Golf course a little rough but weather was very hot! Over all good time, staff and club members were friendly and inviting! Would definitely invite friends next time.
Don't believe what you read online!
I made my tee time and then started reading reviews, I saw people calling in a cowpasture and almost canceled… Boy am I glad I didn't ! This place it was great! Some the greens are rough, but they look like they're a week or so from being great... Other than that, I give this place a 8.5/10. I will be playing it again, soon!
Good Day For Golf
Fairways were fair, patches maybe due to recent rain and growth in fairway on a few holes, almost like having rough in the fairway. Some greens were good, some were thick. For the price a good value just to get out and enjoy nature. Good place to play if you need something to do.
golfing in the out-back
the course is a cow pasture, un-mown and poorly tended. narrow fairways and forced carrys on the back 9. not many on the staff--the bar tender also ran the pro shop, probably the beverage cart girl, based on her attire.
Get what you pay for
There is a reason Foxwood is the cheapest course around.
It is not pretty at all but it is a challenging course. has several tight fairways. Water obstacles are mostly muddy pits and some sand traps are also but the course is good to practice on.
Nice quiet course
Really enjoyed this course. It wasn't overly packed. Friendly staff. He explained everything well since it was my first time there and answered my questions. My 2 concerns were the bees and wasps. I'm guessing because of all the water hazards but by one of the bathrooms on the back nine you couldn't even get in because the doors were covered in bees. Also some of the bridges over water were a bit rickety. Otherwise a nice course not overly difficult and easy to follow/stay on course.
ok for once a year
this course plays challenging because of little new grass on greens making them very fast and hard to hold. good value for price but a long drive.
nice layout with some challenging holes
Had a good round of golf this time. The course needs to green up. I have not played it in the summer and I'm sure it would play easier at that time. Tight lies in the winter make it more difficult to get that right shot.
Dissappointment
This use to be a regular course on my list years ago. I am unsure what has happened to it but I will not be returning anytime soon.
foxwood
great place to play. good for beginners and experienced players.
wet
Don't play this course if it has recently rained.it will be like a marsh.ask for an ATV not a golf cart.
Staff very friendly.
A good course to golf
An excellent price for the course. Somewhat challenging and not overcrowded.
