PERFECT PARKLAND COURSE FOR THE AVERAGE GOLFER
VERY ENJOYABLE FIRST OUTING. REALLY NICE COURSE IN TOP CLASS PARKLAND SETTING. STIFF CHALLENGE FOR THE AVERAGE GOLFER. BUT ONE IS GIVEN A CHANCE IN ALMOST ALL THE HOLES. MY TYPE OF COURSE. A FEW SECTIONS WERE A BIT SOGGY. BUT UNDERSTANDBLE AFTER THE RECENT WEEKS OF HEAVY RAIN.
Excellent day all round
For December in Ireland the course was in excellent shape. Greens a little slow but ran very nicely still.
Great staff especially Raymie the pro who was most helpfull.
I can't understand the poor ratings here, don't let it put you off.
Nice variety of holes with some nice driving holes and lovely approaches.
Highly recommended and great value at €17 each.
Bernard
The course is up with the best. Could do with buggy long. Greag mountain views greens are in great condition will go back
Don't trust GolfNow reservations
Lisheen Springs could not honour my GolfNow reservation because of some issues between it and their own reservation system.. Tee time was full and I had a 60k round trip for nothing.
Poor conditions, unfriendly staff
The course was being worked on at the time of playing however nobody informed us either at the stage of booking or at the pro shop before starting. All of the greens were in very poor shape but the first 5 or so were un playable with large deposits of sand completely covering the greens. Every green had hole marks throughout, which I know is in pep for the winter. but I have never seen anything like this before. We played on regardless as it was our last chance before I went away, however when I mentioned this at the end of the round the manager quite unfriendly.
Course condition
Course in great condition greens excellent fairways excellent would recomend this course as a good test but not to difficult
A nice course with good challenges
I'm only back in the game after many years away and gave lisheen a try.It was my first time here. I was very impressed and found the front nine perfect for a higher handicap player. Nice sweeping curves with wide fairways. The back nine is way more challenging with lots of hazards and hills. Will definitely play here again. It was a wet day but course was well drained and no muddys swamps to be found at all. Lots of facilities with practice range and two practice greens.
Very testing and enjoyable course
Thoroughly enjoyed Lisheen Springs. The front nine for me was manageable, the back nine was very challenging.
Course was in great condition and would definitely recommend it. Very good value.
Very picturesque.
Enjoyed the course. Pace was good. Greens were a bit slow. Weather was great to make for a memorable day.
Worth a visit
Choice of tee to make the game enjoyable for all levels.
a gem,
excellent facilities, driving range, short, chip areas,
course in excellent condition, lots of bunkers, raised greens,
back 9 good , 2 par 5s close together,
First time Player on this Course
A well kept course which is well layed out with plenty to keep even the good golfers tested. I have a high handicap 20+ and found this course a good challenge and will definitely be back again. Playing for the first time the pace of play was extremely slow as we were a 2 ball and behind many 4's. Our tee-time was 13:08 and next time I go i will be out early!
There was also no record of my reservation through GolfNow when I arrived yesterday to play. We were accomodated no problem and staff were more than helpful, but clearly something wrongin the background here.
