Challenging

This is the type of course Americans would die for and we're so lucky to have it on our doorstep.
Whats also amazaimg is that it's a public course.
The course offers all the challenges of any links course. If it's your first time playing I'd suggest getting guidance on each hole before your start or bring someone who knows the course. Also brings lots of golf balls!!
Be aware the layout of some of the holes (back end) can be confusing - so pay attention.
While it's not maintained as good as a private course it's still in good condition.
The only think that Anniyed me was - there were two young lads (under 10) playing behind me and what I saw would put my golf to shame!
Great course, great value.

A lovely links course beautifully laid out by the Dublin coastline. Good views. This was my first time to play and will be enjoyable to play second time as there are a number of blind shots. It's a relatively short course so course management is the key. The greens were in excellent condition. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Fun

Extremely challenging when the wind picks up. But this day it was benign.....leave the driver at home

Local knowledge is key.

Basic facilities but a proper links experience

Short interesting course.

Gives a good idea of a links course without the high fees.

Fantastic value for links golf.

A little gem of a golf course. Always plays different due to the wind direction they are currently pumping some money in to revamping the little club house which was needed and also some new grass machines plus some new paths have been laid.
The course never floods and is always playable even after a heavy storm the previous night when all the parkland courses are closed.
The staff couldn't be more helpful I'd well recommend playing the course at Corballis.

Best Bang for your Links buck!!

Beautiful challenging and scenic links course adjacent the Irish Sea. Course is short but well worth your time and money to make it a priority! Just outside of Dublin (Donabate)... Fantastic people and the pro shop Manager is great to work with. Train station is close by. Rock chalk Jayhawk!!

First 9 Fine

This links course has a nice first 9, but the back 9 is not that interesting and the fairway conditions are very poor. We played against 4 very slow and disrespectful locals (lots of practice shots, looking for lost balls, etc). There were no marshals on the course or anyone available to monitor the level of play. When I mentioned this to the staff, there was no response whatsoever.

No amenities. While a nice value, the course and overall experience was lackluster and disappointing. Having traveled from the U.S., I would say skip this course and lay down the bucks for a better course.

Links Golf Course near Dublin

This course is approximately 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre. A true links experience with all of the quirks of a links course. Must be patient and always good to have a spotter as there are several holes with blind shots and a few holes with shared fairways. The greens were in great shape. There were bunkers but not excessive. Don't be afraid to use an iron off the tee on several of the par 4s. A small golf shop but no restaurant. A fun scenic little course worth playing!
