Great picturesque course
A lovely course, not long but tricky. Well worth a visit
Excellent little course
Short in length but quite challenging, excellent condition considering the recent weather. Worth a visit
Great course
Thoroughly enjoyed playing this course. Nicely laid out and good thought behind the tee offs for a 9 holer. Looking forward to playing again soon.
Challenging short course
Greens we’re in a great condition. Some really interesting holes where you can make a big number if your not careful.
Short but a real cracker
There is quite honestly not a weak hole here although you probably won’t need to pack the driver. If you’re straight and your short game is good you’ll murder the course but if not you may rack up a number.
The course is well laid out, hilly and the greens are both excellent and very challenging.
The course is part of a holiday site but please don’t be put off by this as my expectations were low and I was hugely surprised and impressed.
I will definitely be back there.
Buggy more expensive than green fee
£20 for a buggy and £17 to play 18 holes of a 9 hole campsite course.
Only play when I leave it till last minute and want to take my child out on the course when my course is fully booked.
Checked before booking regarding the buggy due to me fetching my 5 year old who’s learning to putt.
Was met at the course with a no children on the course sign
Delay in teeing off waiting for the buggy to arrive.
Told LO had to stay in the buggy the whole way around.
Couple of greens were decent. Couple were horrifying, especially 7 which in places was over an inch thick.
General course was in fairly decent condition. 4 ball wouldn’t play me through which is always a bit naff so I missed out 4 holes and cut across.
No food after 2pm on a Sunday either which would’ve made a bad experience better.
Won’t be returning, which is a shame.
Brilliant
The plassey has been fantastic for me. Im currently battling cancer and golf is helping get through it mentally and physically. The staff are always welcoming and the members are always helpful and friendly. The course is alot better maintained than other nearby course's that i have played. If i was allowed to work and afford the membership i would 100% join the plassey
Great Course & Service
Great 9 hole golf course. Fantastic condition, especially the greens. Course condition much better than other local 18 hole courses.
Staff very friendly and great to see club upholding golfing attire rules and etiquette.
Enjoyed a great bar snack after our game with professional service.
Course highly recommended.
Friendly club.
Really friendly club. Quite challenging, hilly course. 9 hole but few different tees on the back 9.
Should have been closed
The course was open so we played but the condition was waterlogged and extremely slippy and dangerous. Balls were plugging immediately so lost balls. Gave up after 6 holes. Should never have been open.
Lovely course
Played this course on quite a few ccasions now, really nice course greens are in very good condition and some.challenging shots, would recommend this course very surprised at the condition being so good after hearing a few people speak of it being a holiday park golf course as it exceeds those comments and is really nice.
Get a few chancers who tell you they are playing a competition and can they play through you but other than that really enjoy this course.
On 1st visit we tried to check in but the clubhouse told us to just tee off as there was no reason to check in so we have turned up and teed off at the specified time, we have proof we have paid via an app/receipt so not had any issues when we have been asked.
Attire is a bit of an odd one as I have seen holiday makers in casuals rather than golf attire but that doesn't really bother me.
Really nice course and definitely worth a round.
Do not visit
I booked online to play golf and arrived 20 minutes before my tee time. I went to the clubhouse and checked in as I usually would. I was informed by the bar/golf staff member that I was not able to play as I was in "Jean shorts". I stated that I had played this course and numerous others in the area in the shorts I was in which are tailored shorts. The staff member was insistent and I asked to speak to the manager. The manager arrived and confirmed this which was a huge suprise to me. There was no offerings to make one exception and no acknowledgment that I had previously played this exact course and many others in the same shorts.
I was and am completely amazed by the verdict and will not be coming back having played at this course countless times in the last 20 years. I travelled a short distance to Clays golf club who immediately let me and my brother on in the exact same shorts. It was great and the course is much more fulfilling.
I am sad to see this next step in the golf courses downfall, it has gone from a thriving course with a really family oriented feel, good banter and dedicated golf staff including a golf pro. To a golf course that is not well maintained and seems like it is forgotten.
Nice compact course that tests your game
Not a long course but one that makes you think and challenges anyones game!
