A casual round

This course boasts a few challenging holes in terms of layout but was let down by poorly maintained tee boxes, unkempt fairways in places and slow saturated greens. The Bunkers were not in good order either from view but we did have a large amount of rain last night which is forgivable for the green etc.
The staff in the kitchen and bar were extremely hospitable and the view from the terrace is fantastic, I could've stayed there for hours.
Slow play and quite 'casually' dressed golfers were freely present which lent to the 'average' review of this potentially gorgeous course.

Great Course, Great Breakfast!

2nd time playing this year, course in great condition and a varied challenge with the parkland/Links mix.
Wind got up a little and definitely kept us honest...

Make sure you arrive early enough to get some food before your round - great value - generous portion and decent quality.

Outstanding course

You start in parkland for 7 holes then the real test begins with 8 holes of links golf , 4 in a row along the coast edge boasts spectacular views out to sea. Finishing with 3 holes leading back to the clubhouse for a well earned drink.
The greens are immaculate and run true, the course is well maintained and the staff are very friendly non more so than the welcome you get in the pro shop when you arrive.

Lovely track, like playing 2 courses

First 7 are pretty parkland then from 8 the course turns Links. Much more of a challenge.

We had great weather just enough of a wind to make it interesting!

This is the 5th time we've played here and I can't overstate the friendliness of the staff and the condition and layout of the course. We first played at the end of may and the course was a bit wet after the long winter but since then it has been superb. The frpnt nine and the back links

1st choice in north wales

This is probably the 10th or so time I have played Pwllheli as a returning holiday maker in the locality. I feel that it offers the right balance of some challenging holes, but also has holes which will reward good play. The staff are really nice, particularly in the pro shop.
I have played all the other courses of note in the local area over the years, on balance I think Pwllheli has the best to offer, and would be first on my list on my next return visit.

A game of two halves (well almost)

Great course and a real challenge. Front 7 are interesting parkland type holes. Hole 2 could do with a little more signage(look at a shot saver before teeing off!) but is still a good challenge.

Once you get back to the clubhouse to the eighth the course transforms into a fantastic links course with great view of the islands off Abersoch and Cardigan Bay; if you are very lucky you can see dolphins! Great tees on the next few holes; just watch for the public walking the coastal path!

The course turns back inland for 16,17 & 18. Despite this 16 with a blind tee shot over a hill and 17 a par four narrowing to a tight green are my two favourite holes on the course; on both you need to land your drive I the right place.

In summary, despite no par 5’s it is a fantastic course where you don’t need to be a ‘bomber’ to make par on most holes. Set on the coast it has fantastic views and the staff at the pro shop are very helpful. Highly recommended!

Poor pace of play spoilt day

Course is a lovely little track some greens diseased which was unfortunate but in the main course was ok considering hot weather
Staff great and welcoming but as with every golf course now our round was spoilt by slow play and we walked in from the 15th
When will golf clubs everywhere address this problem? If you're a golfer that takes more than 4 hours then please give up you're ruining it for everybody else.

Third time we have played this course on a hot deal and it just gets better every time. A very tidy and well maintained course, quite flat with a parkland first nine and links on the back. The staff in both the shop and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Pace of play was good 3 and a half hours round and we benefited from gorgeous weather. All in all one of those memorable days.

Pwllheli. Jewel on the crown.

Arrived early (07.50). Made very welcome. Millionaires golf. Had whole course to myself for an hour.
Course in lovely condition. Back 9 more challenging than front.
Bit disappointed that there were no par 5's. Tho back 9 had a couple of good (400yd+) par 4's.
