Flat , generous
Some long holes with wide fairways , tricky par 3s make a good challenge . Played a few times before, will be back
Peterstone Lakes Luxury
The course was a pleasure to play on, no hold ups and we were looked after very well, especially as this was the first time we had played it, quite long in places, and lots of water and ditches to negotiate, but all well signposted. The clubhouse is very nice, but the food left a little to be desired and not much choice at all, not really any decent options for vegetarians.
Spring round
A nice friendly welcome , course in great condition quite busy but never waiting around. Not a fan of tee mats but understand the need to repairs ready for a busy summer. Would definitely recommend anyone to play here, not an easy test especially the back 9 .
Flat but fun course
Great course with the challenging wind making it a good little battle, water channel hazards make it interesting at times too
Nice course
Nice course a good layout lots of water as in the name. Great staff. Would play there again. A low handy cap might find it a bit easy, lots of straight fairways and forgiving.
Generous fairways
Played the course a few times, some long holes but wide fairways , nice dogleg finishing hole
Autumnal Golf but good fun!
Thoughly enjoyed playing this course. It's winter tees and playing soft, not much run on the fairways and stopping dead on the greens, so fly it for the pins. It playing it's full distance and surprising on one lost ball between us. Sploosh!
Walk back from the temporary tee on the 10th. Otherwise your on the wrong fairway with no way across the water.
Tough finding balls along the tree lines with fallen leaves at this time of year and that did slow us down considerably.
Read the online course guide, hole by hole before you go. Funnyist pro and club golfer reviews I have ever read!
Rad
Started playing golf 6 months ago and after playing at Caerleon (to practice full course set ups) I finally decided to try out a full 18 hole course.
Gentleman in the pro shop was really friendly and helpful, gave us some good tips on the course and situations we might come across.
As far as playing it was a brilliant day for it and with my recent adjustments to my drive I'm now hitting 270+ drives, being a long course it suited my game to the ground.
Ended up chipping in on the 18th to save par (what a way to finish) and scored my first 95!
Absolutely loved it. The Bar overlooks the 18th and you can enjoy everyone's final approach and finish while you throw back an ice cold pint.
Still a pleasure to play
2nd time playing the coarse this time walking giving more time to appreciate the wonderfully maintained fairways, greens plus additional wildlife.
Will be back very soon
Hidden Gem
Absolutely loved this course. Fairways and Greens were immaculate, and course layout was mostly easy to find your way around apart from one tee on the back 9 (I think) which was a longer walk than the rest and wasn't signposted so took some finding. A flat course, with mature trees and a nice mixture of long par 4s and 5s with some intriguing par 3s. The weather on this day was perfect and was quite hot. The only downside for my ratings was that the clubhouse bar inexplicably closed at 5pm without warning (it was a Sunday) which left a lot of the golfers finishing their rounds disappointed.
Also a 4 ball ahead of us kept holding us up, but they eventually let us play through.
Will definitely play again!
