great day
Great day out, course is fairly challenging. a lot of factors but had a good round. greens were very quick but were lovely to play on
Spring round was stunning
Played here towards the end of March. Weather was stunning, this helped make the day. A little hard to find as it’s located up a small access road. Big car park, and nice looking club house, pro shop and general lay out. Unfortunately pro shop was closed (lunch?), so made way the 1st. For the new comer, the first isn’t that clear from the tee, but there’s a large map as you walk into the 1st tee. First 3-4 holes are up hill, after that you play holes that are a little less physical. Course is looking really good, and greens are getting quick as things dry out.
The 14th is particularly impressive, with stunning views over the Neath valley. Recommended
Father and Son
We have both played Neath many times and again we were not disappointed by great condition of the course.
Superb
Best course we've played to date. Fantastic conditions and although the greens were the most challenging we've played, very enjoyable. Will definitely visiting again soon. Scenery was beautiful too
relaxed afternoon
I was lucky to turn up on my own and be invited to play by two members. This helped as there are some dog legs and a couple of blind shots. The walk round was unhurried and we let through a couple of singles matches. As there are some good uphill stretches to start it pays to take your time and enjoy the wonderful scenery
A Pleasure To Play Neath For The First Time
It was a pleasure to play Neath for the first time today. Some great scenery to enjoy, some challenging but fair holes and a friendly welcome both at the club on arrival and around the course. A very enjoyable afternoon.
Fantastic greens
Great test off golf you will have to keep it on the fairway and expect to 3 put every green has breaks and superb condition very freindly staff and welcome will play agqin
Great course despite stormy weather
Fantastic course in fantastic condition.
On this particular visit it coincided with a storm that caused us some issues in the bar: phone lines were down which meant no card payments, but unfortunately we were not told of this beforehand. Card machine in the pro shop was working so maybe some cohesion or an upgrade to the bar system will improve things there.
Overall a fantastic course and I will certainly visit again.
Great course, great people.
This course is a lot of fun and the views are spectacular. There is a lot of variety among the wholes. The staff and members are very friendly and proud of their course. I recommend buying the yardage booklet for 3£; it’s very helpful. I’ll play this course again the next time i’m In the area. -Mike H.
Great golf course!
Staff and members were very friendly, greens in great condition and some amazing holes. Will definately return for another round
Mountain Goat Anyone!!
Wow, The course could use a 'cable car to play the first couple of holes, the climb is unprecedented. Those not fully fit, take a buggy!. Having said that the views are of South Wales from the Sea all the way to the Beacons are spectacular. The course is well manicured and the greens the very good for the terrain. There are a number of 'blind' holes, perhaps too many for the first timer. You do find your concentration being diverted by the views, especially if your score on this occasion is poor!. The weather was perfect, however I can imagine it being a chore in less than perfect conditions.
A real hidden gem.
Felt i had to write a review and recommend this course to all fellow golfers, it is a real hidden gem. My partner and i played here on a busy Saturday afternoon, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived in the car park , everybody was so friendly. The course itself has a great layout, good mixture of challenging holes, amazing views and the trickiest greens i have played in a long while.
A special thanks to this years mens Captain, and the men and lady members who took the time to make our day one to remember, we will be returning.
