Eagle Eye Golf Club
About
Located near Michigan’s capital city of Lansing and minutes from Michigan State University’s campus, Eagle Eye Golf Club is one of the state’s top-ranked public courses. The 18-hole championship course opened in 2003 and was designed by Chris Lutzke, a protégé of legendary architect Pete Dye. Lutzke’s design features some Dye staples like railroad ties, severe mounding and pot bunkers. But the most recognizable homage to Dye is the TPC Sawgrass-inspired island-green 17th hole. The 9th and 18th holes are both dramatic par 5s that hug each side of a large pond from tee to green. Eagle Eye has a 65,000-square-foot clubhouse that, in addition to a pro shop and grill with outdoor seating overlooking the course, can host a variety of large groups, outings and weddings. Over the years, Eagle Eye has regularly made the Golfers’ Choice Michigan an Top 50 United States lists on GolfPass.

18th Hole Photo submitted by Gcpeek98 on 09/25/2012
Great Course with no enforced ettiqute!
We (2some) finished in 4 hours and 15 mins. Played the second nine behind a slow foursome that refused to let us play through.....so....waited every hole....every shot while the Marshal sat and watched!!
Challenging but beautiful
If your looking to challenge your game this is a great location! The course is also one of the more beautiful that I have played with the 17th being the highlight of the round.
Gorgeous
A really fantastic golf course. It is challenging with tons of water and bunkers, but also fair. There are landing zones for you to hit your tee shots that are pretty generous but a miss hit will definitely penalize you. The rough allows you to find your ball but it is thick and is going to steal some club head speed. The bunkers are greatly manicured and play well. The 17th hole is everything it's supposed to be.
Michigan Eagle Eye
Very nice link course. Some times hard to tell where you are going. Would like GPS pr detailed course maps on each cart. Staff was fabulous. Also recommnend Hampton Inn
Slow play and hit into on 9th green while putting
The course is nice as it is ranked 5th in the state of Michigan. My only problem was the pace of play was very slow. Almost 5 hours to play 18 for a twosome. No rangers on the course to keep pace moving. Waited 10 to 15 minutes on each tee box starting at 8. Then while putting on the 9th green got hit by a ball as someone was trying to push us. We had no place to go. The back 9 played very slow. I will never play this course again for that kind of money with play being that slow.
This course is tough!
Played course for 3rd time. Greens a little slow. Rough moderate. Some areas where your not suppose to hit it, like fairway mounds, waist high with vegetation! Bunkers very well kept on this visit with wood rakes. Wood rakes rule!
This course is top 50 in MI. But in my opinion not top 20.
The course starts off easy then really toughens up on the back where water is a factor on many holes.
Full disclosure. I paid less than $30 for 18 with cart.
starter gave our tee time away
Arrived at the first tee @ 1:55 for our 2:00 tee time. The starter let a single off and then 2 women in front of us. Thus we didn't tee off till 2:15. He then told us he is backed up and we need to play "ready golf" I asked him why he let the two women take our tee time and why he didn't tell them to play "ready golf". Of course no response. The two women held up entire course the rest of the day, and ranger did nothing. Can't complain about course, best in Lansing but for the money you pay, could have been a better experience.
Great course
This is a great course. It is a challenging course with more than enough water and sand to make play interesting. The course is also well maintained.
This course offers a great variety of challenges
We very much enjoyed our round of golf even though we had to play thru some wet and sloppy conditions...cart path only restrictions but did'nt let that effect our golfing experience !
Very Nice
Course was fun and in excellent shape. Very Windy out made it challenging.
One of the best public courses in Michigan
I got a great "hot deal" price to play Eagle Eye and had an awesome round at one of the best public courses in Michigan. You are treated like it is a country club (free range balls, wet towels, staff running around grabbing your bag, etc.), but anyone can play.
The course is in beautiful shape and manicured meticulously. I'm a 2 handicap and played the back tees (almost 7300 yards) and regretted it!! Super tough from back there. The course layout is superb and challenging and just flat out awesome!! I will be back.
This course was Immaculate!!
I tend to golf 8-10 times a month and travel the country often. This is the first time hitting thr long ball at Eagle Eye and I was thoroughly impressed with the condition of the course, the fairways, the greens, the clubhouse and the friendliness of the staff! Astounding experience and I would definitely recommend this course to any golf enthusiast!!
Bucket List
Even with cold weather and wind, was well worth the price and drive. Would come back over and over!
eagle eye
Course was immaculate. Greens were very smooth. Back side the greens were a little slow. Overall a great course. Starter was very knowledgeable and polite.
Eagle 2
Just awesome, only 3 holes that we could not drive on. Conditions were otherwise exceptional. Must play every year.
SPRING FEVER GOLF
ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO PLAY THIS TRACK. NEVER DISAPPOINTED WITH COURSE OR CONDITIONS. STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL & FRIENDLY. LOVE # 17 SINCE I HAD THE PLEASURE OF PLAYING TPC SAWGRASS 4 YRS AGO! ALWAYS BRINGS BACK FOND MEMORIES OF PARING #17 @ SAWGRASS.
Immaculate
Everything about this course is top notch...without a doubt the best course in the area! Would definitely play again
A real gem
This course in my opinion is second only to Forrest Dunes for conditions playability , and design ... I have golfed all over michigan and this course is truly one of my favorites ,. The pricing is way lower than its rivals such as Forrest dunes and Arcadia . It's greens are always true and fast ... A must play

Great Course
Eagle Eye is the areas best course. It is well taken care of and it shows.
good value
I had a good experience. Course was in good shape considering the time of year in Michigan. Pace of play was excellent. No waiting and nobody behind us.
