Old Marsh Country Club
About
Situated near the Webhannet River and just minutes from the ocean, Old Marsh Country Club started as swampy marshland before being transformed into a traditional, Florida-style golf course set amongst a beautiful coastal landscape. The challenging layout demands strategy and will definitely test your skills, but the more difficult elements are balanced by generous landing areas. Keeping the ball towards the center of the fairway is the key to many of the holes or else you'll be met with tricky hazards. The seventh hole, named "Pinehurst," is a particularly memorable hole. Designed as an homage to the famous North Carolina course's putting surfaces, this par-4 requires you to keep your ball in play off the tee to a circular landing area before a second shot to an undulating green.

challenging course
Enjoyed the course but it would have helped if there was a GPS on the cart to indicated what lies ahead , lots of blind shots .
Great course
Nice layout and well conditioned. Keep it in play off the tee and pars and birdies are available. Stray off the fairways and your ball will be lost so play safe. Our first time and we will definitely return.
Great day with friends
Was extremely hot day which made the play a little harder. We intended to do 18 holes but stopped after nine since the weather was over 90. It was a very challenging course but a lot of fun. Lost a lot of balls during my game though.
Good challenge
Beautiful hole
Good challenge hole
Quiet golf
Great day
Course was in great shape. Nate at the desk was very professional. The girls at the restaurant were awesome. All around great place to play. Now they have new home being build witch opens the course a little more. Greens were true. Fairways and tee box were in good shape. I will definitely go back and play. Great championship course.
Old Marsh
Difficult course. A decent score will depend on how well you know you hit your clubs. Some layups, forced carries and target golf.
Due to lack of rain, the fairways were burnt in areas. However, greens rolling nice. Great shape!
I've always enjoyed this track.
GREAT DEAL through GOLFNOW website!

A good day at Okd Marsh
Day started a little slow. After the group in front left after 9 holes, pace of play was much better. Staff was excellent!
For better golfers
I think better golfers would appreciate this course more so than your average weekend worrier. I would say better than bogie golfers would enjoy playing here. This is not an easy course. It has many long carries off the tee and 99, yes 99, bunkers. It's in very good shape. Bring bug spray and the name implies "Old Marsh" it's build on wet land. They're building houses on the course and on a couple of holes the houses are intrusive - too bad. It's a little tricky to find. My GPS had us turn left too early.
We booked a "Hot Deal" and enjoyed the day. had dinner at Jonathan's on Ogunquit. Highly recommend Jonathan's - great seafood.
Bring lots of balls!
I got on on a day when skies were threatening but the weather held, so the course was wide open. Lots of ways to lose balls, not all of which are apparent until it's too late. Many bunkers.... I've never hit out of the sand so much in one round in my life! So, while I wasn't happy with the number on my scorecard, I'd definitely play here again. Challenging, pretty flat but some hiking between certain holes, but definitely walkabe.
High handicapper beware
This course is very challenging in may ways.
Every shot needs to be well placed since there are not very many forgiving spots, if any.
Bring a lot of balls since anything in the rough or off the fairway is irretrievable (In many cases the cart path encourage a lost ball)
The greens are in excellent shape but difficult and the traps are prevalent.
If you can play well here you can play well anyway.
Old Marsh July 2016
Pace of play was good, and the condition of the course was excellent! Several sets of tees lets you enjoy every hole. Each hole is unique with it's own personality, so respect your handicap or ability level.
Painfully Slow Pace of Play
The course has potential but needs Management to get involved starting by patrolling the course. It was painfully slow and no one was around to trouble shoot.
2nd, on a hot day, or any day, one would expect to find water in the coolers
Tight
Tough course bring lots of balls but great shape
Good value
Good price. Fun course. Played early and was done in 4 hours
Great course.
This course is a little complicated to get to, but worth the effort. There are no real elevation changes, but sand traps and water make it a very interesting course to play. Greens are in very good condition: quite fast with many interesting and complex breaks.
I walked the course, but found the distance between some of the holes quite long. It would be worth renting a cart on a very hot day. I played from the blues on most holes, but because many holes require a long carry, I played from the golds on some holes.
Pace of play was great - no waiting at any time.
Awesome
Very special course
Not for the faint of heart
Recommended Course
I absolutely love the course, the staff, etc.. Only disappointment I had was the fact that I purchase a round of 18 on GolfNow and was matched up with three guys only playing 9. You would think they would have put me with a group playing all 18. I decided to leave after nine. There were no groups of two or three behind us for another 45 minutes according to the starter and I didn't want to wait or continue on alone with a foursome in front of and behind me.
Fun afternoon
Course is built as a part of a home development. which is being built out. Big greens with many mounds. Local knowledge would be a big help.
Fun challenge
Great course even for this early in the season
