The Links At Lighthouse Sound
About
The Links at Lighthouse Sound is an Arthur Hills-designed golf course that covers a scenic and varied terrain. Hills took advantage of not only the beautiful views afforded by the course's location right along the Assawomen Bay, but also the natural diversity of the terrain. He routed the front nine along the bay while the back nine borders the St. Martin's River, through mature hardwoods and pristine marshland. The golf course is home to the longest cart bridge in the country, stretching almost 1,500 feet to bring golfers from the bay-side holes to the marshland holes. It is also the only course in the U.S. with five consecutive holes playing to the same double green. The signature hole is the par-3 fifth, which requires a carry over a marsh to a nearly island green bordered by water on three sides.

Nailed it! Photo submitted by OtterMan on 10/26/2012
Good course beautiful views.
Very nice course, set off Ocean City MD. Great conditions challenging layout. Perfect time of year no crowds.
Overuse of the word WOW!!!
The main difficulty in writing anything about this course is avoiding over using the exclamation "WOW!"
For those privileged few with the game, way back in another zip code, the tips beckon. For a 20 like me, the Blues are perfect... The fairways are enormous, the greens ran fast and true, and every time I looked up, all I could think of was "WOW!"
Short game, putting, and driving range areas are all included, arrive early and take your time warming up. Staff are both helpful and plentiful. This course is listed in every top whatever published anywhere. Play it and find out why! I was NOT disappointed!!
Spectacular views
What a great experience. The staff was friendly and very informed. The course was in excellent condition and very challenging. The views were spectacular and riding over the "longest wooden cart bridge in America" was an added treat.
Great but a little slow.
Great rate, great course but a little slow.
Greens a little marked up.
Impressive, scenic course in wonderful shape
With the incredible special offered, we played a high-priced course at a highly discounted rate. Staff was nice, rangers and beverage cart were often around. Course is very scenic, with nice marsh views and various hazards to play with your head. It is not too difficult for the average golfer, but, with a few longish carries, you must choose your tees wisely. I will look to play the course again, especially if the cost specials remain.
Great golf course
We play in ocean city every summer and finally played lighthouse sound and it was the nicest course in ocean city! We got a discounted rate using golf now. Highly recommend!
Best in OC area, but expensive. You get what you pay for.
Fairways are like other courses greens. Greens are pristine and true. Tee boxes have no bare spots and are level.Pace of play is good. Staff pleasant and helpful.
One you should play
Beautiful course with many holes having great views of the bay. Conditon was great, greens in very good shape. Pace of play was slower than it should have been.
Course is great but too expensive
The Links at Lighthouse Sound is a great course but too expensive to play consistently like other courses in the area. Only get to play it once a year, if that, when I find a deal on GolfNow.
The Club House food is the best in the area! Food is great!
Beautiful Views, Challenging Layout
Played from the gold tees, just under 6600 yards, quite a test, especially in a 2-3 club wind. The stronger the wind, the longer the course plays relative to the card. You can't beat the bay and Ocean City skyline views on numerous holes on the front nine, the 18th hole was spectacular as well. The rest of the back nine was less spectacular back in the woods, but was actually a nice respite from the open winds. The clubhouse is nice, didn't have time to hang around for a drink afterwards but the restaurant had more beautiful views of the bay and Ocean City skyline. Wouldn't say the conditions are worth the rack rate, but I'd play it again anytime for the price paid.
